    Re: How Young Are You?

As a Boston native and lifelong Red Sox fan:

    * I was born after the Impossible Dream season, and 7 game WS loss to the Cards.

    * I vaguely remember, though was very young, the 7 game WS loss the Reds. My brother and Dad attended game 6, though.

    * I was plenty old enough to say "Bucky F------ Dent!"

    * I was in high school when Dave Henderson hit the 2 run HR off of Donnie Moore. The greatest sports moment in my life, at the point.

    * A few weeks later was the worst sports moment in my life.

    * I was 32 when Grady F------ Little happened. I woke my poor wife up screaming at the TV when he left Pedro in.

    * When I was 33, well, you know....

Now I'm 38, and I can't believe that I've seen the Sox win 2 WS, and that I still love playing baseball video games as much as I did when I was young. Thank you, SCEA!

What the hell? The Last time I was born. You mean you were born more than once? I remember that 89 quake very well. My house was shaken and rockin!

I see so many guys my age bored to death, wish they'd never retired because they have nothing to do. Running my web site, writing my book, making rosters (retired, ), and baseball, in particular this great game, have made me wonder how I ever had time for real work.

Keep gaming guys. My best friend is 67 and he's still at it. Don't ever fall into the trap that you are just "too old" to have fun. Doesn't make any sense. Retirement is the age to do just that.
                          Amen to that.

It's sounds like you live a pretty good lifestyle there.
It's healthy to have hobbies to keep your mind occupied and have something that you're passionate about. The sports I'm passionate about are basketball (I grew up playing it, making my way to A Grade ball, watching it and spending countless hours shooting hoops on my driveway) and Australian Rules Football (it's in my blood).

You're absolutely right in saying that you're never too old to have fun.

I'm 33 and I can see myself gaming until I'm 93, if I last that long.

My pleasure. I still get goosebumps when I think about the '04 playoffs. All of the previous suffering is what made it so special.

39 and glad to see all the posts from those of you 30++.

Looking back, I remember playing Atari 2600's baseball game. You know, the one where you would hit a home run by hitting the ball (square) directly over second base and off the screen. Ahh...good times. But's that all we had (well, that and a hoop and a stick), and we didn't complain.

I can't imagine how I would have reacted if I got a glimpse of The Show '10 back then. Wow.
