Oh god no! If I did that, the twelve year old version of me would be 35 and still living in his mother's basement.

BTW...are there rehab assignments in franchise mode?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I am not sure this has been addressed before. During playoffs and the WS (and I believe the All Star game as well) there are 6 umpires instead of the usual 4. Has this been corrected in the Show 10?

Sorry if this has been addressed but the thread is 208 pages long!
          No they don't.

countryboy;...no...no rehab assignments....and unless a game(I know why you're asking) has a sophisticated injury and DL system....it's a little gimmicky and kind of pointless.
Perhaps if they add some sort of nagging injury and on top of that...implement a way for the CPU teams to take a player off the DL and allow for AAA assignments(I'm not even sure the MLB rule on that since technically, a player coming off the DL is supposed to be assigned back to the MLB roster....so is that assignment when he's not injured, but still on the DL?)...

Also fun is playing every sixth game. You still go through your rotation normally but the season is condensed into less than 30 games. Play some other important series or fun match-ups and you can do 40 games easily. Not for everyone but it lets me get through several seasons and a lot of what I like is the roster stuff (trading, free agency, having to let guys go, getting to see the young guys develop).

I think I asked this before, but I don't remember seeing it answered yet. Does anyone know if they fixed the gold glove awards this season? Also, did they add silver sluggers for each position?

I like the roster stuff too. I've only had 09 for about a month so I might change some things once I get 10. So far, I've pretty much followed what I did in previous baseball games on my 360. I play one game each week of the season. The exact day might change but I basically try to do that. The other thing that I like about The Show vs. others is that I can sim half innings at a time (without having to exit and reload the game). Usually, I'm kinda pressed for time so I'll sim through some half-innings to save on time. Doing that, I usually end up pitching three innings and hitting three innings...like I might pitch in the 1st, 4th, and 6th and hit in the 3rd, 4th, and 8th.

Aanother idea that I remember from a couple years ago in another forum is to play any games against a team that is .500 or better and sim everything else up until September and then play every game during that month.

Some other ideas to think about:
--play only divisional or wild-card leaders
--play every game after you "sim-win" or "sim-lose" three in a row until you break the streak
--play only teams in your division
--play only teams with a better (or worse) record than you

                Just some thoughts...

I'd also like to know if they fixed the issues with fielding enough that gold glove awards won't be screwy.

In online season, is there a FA pool in case injury hits...?

Thats to bad. Do you know why they don't. I know a lot of baseball fans love to talk about key prospects. I would like if they added the player likeness of each organizations top 10 prospects according to Baseball America.

                        Thanks Knight

You do know you can edit the fake minor leaguers though so you can give them their likeness with the face tool. You can change skin tones as well. The possibilities are endless.

That is a great idea. No surprise coming from an HC fan, smart bunch... Assumption guy myself, but grew up a 'Sader fan. Thanks for the tip... I'll look forward to trying that this year.

Contractual reasons. I could be wrong, but I am nearly certain that to feature a player's likeness in the game, he has to be -- at some point -- on a major league roster.
