Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Last year there was an issue with the 15-day disabled list. When a player's 15 days were up, you either had to activate him or put him back on for another 15 days. This was really annoying when the player was only injured for a total of 20 or so days. You were either forced to:
- Activate the player before he's healthy, and play with essentially a 24-man roster while waiting the 5 extra days for the injured player to heal; or
- Put the injured player back on the 15-day DL for an additional 15 days, even if he would be healthy long before the 15 days are up.
In real life, a player can be left on the 15-day DL until he's healthy, at which time he can be activated. For example, a player can be on the DL for 16 days or the entire season, or anything in between. Length of time on the DL does not work in 15-day increments, as it did in MLB 09: Show.
Has this issue been fixed in this year's edition of the game? It would make me a really happy player if it was.Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I doubt this has ever been brought up, but if a RHP throws a 12-6 CB outside to a RHB, and the pitch break indicator moves straight down it is actually breaking down and in. This deals with trajectories. The ball path is moving from in to out (RHP release point to outside spot). Therefore when the pitch break indicator shows a straight down line, then it actually broke down and in.
Does this make sense? I don't know if I explained it right.Comment

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Darn, thanks though countryboy. That's about the only thing I dont like. Would definitely add depth to franchise knowing teams will sign that FA that propels them into the post season. Oh well, still can't wait.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Originally posted by OzmosisI dont think this is how it works in MLB..I just read the rule and what youre saying isnt correct..Show me the rule where it says thats the case otherwise it works properly..I know there was an issue with the DL but this wasnt it.
However, Wikipedia is correct because all you have to do is go and look at the DL transaction history for any team from last year. An example is Brian Bruney on the Yankees.
He was placed on the 15-Day DL on 25-Apr-2009. Therefore, he would have been able to come off of the DL on 09-May-2009. He didn't come off the DL until 19-May-2009. That is a difference of 24 days which is not a multiple of 15. So in '09 it appears that the rule was indeed broken.Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I didnt understand what it was saying until I read a few different explanations. Its a minimum of 15 or 60 days and it can be retroactive (which isnt in the game) but I finally saw where they say you can stay on until healthy..Comment
