To me, as a teacher in the state of Illinois, IIRC means "Interactive Illinois Report Card." I guess to the rest of the world stands for "If I recall correctly."

And to think I thought I was up to date on my "text-speak."

That's a feature i was hoping to see added this year as it would give the playoffs/WS/ASG a more TV style look by having those logos on the ticker.

Overall, what differences then did jump out at you guys in regards to playoff immersion, that wasn't there in 09?

The biggest thing....towels and thundersticks in the crowd.
To me...the crowd seemed ramped up...but again hard to say.


For those guys asking about trades.
Kolbe is still working and tweaking it. I can tell....he wants this part of the game so bad ...he'll run himself ragged to get it.
Anway...I still "bug" him a bit and he was kind enough to relay to me last night about a certain aspect.
Guys were asking about 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 trades....and also about trades close to the deadline.
Kolbe conveyed to me a trade he saw that I might find interesting.

Late July(around the 20th...)
A small market team that was having a terrible season and had gone into rebuilding mode traded a star player(don't know the contract sorry) to a team that was in playoff push and tied for either the division or a playoff spot(can't remember...doesn't matter really) for 3 A potential players(one...the same position as the star player...all different positions...NONE of them RP)
To hear that makes me extremely happy!
That's three things we were asking about.....lopsided trade....close to trade deadline and....star for potential!!

That may be the most encouraging thing so far I have heard about this years game and I really like alot of the new touches...huge upgrade!

To the guys talking about the DL.
Yes..I wish there was a way to make the injury retro.....and would love to be able to assign the guy for a rehab assignment if he is going to be a couple of more days injured....but done with the 15 day DL. To be honest...I didn't really think of that and would have brought it up to Kolbe...as he wanted to get the DL correct for '10 seeing he wasn't happy about the 60 day DL in '09.

The issue I raised with the 15-day DL isn't a huge problem, but in the event that it still doesn't work as it should when the game is released, I'll be sure to mention it in one of the post-release patch threads. Hopefully it's something that wouldn't be too hard for the developers to fix.

They have fireworks but they do not come out of the pinwheels.
