If you read the article it only applies for the 5 remaing players of the 38.

The part I was talking about was this:

So how did this apply to Ben Sheets? Was he still under contract last year? According to the MLBPA:

Q: Who is eligible for membership in the Association?

A: All players, managers, coaches and trainers who hold a signed contract with a Major League club are eligible for membership in the Association. In collective bargaining, the Association represents around 1,200 players, or the number of players on each club's 40-man roster, in addition to any players on the disabled list.

So without a signed contract, you are not a member....weird.

I was curious when editing the players what the max height is now ? i think it was 6'10 in 09. Only reason i ask is the Twins have a pitcher on their 40 man roster that is 7'1 , Loek Van Mil.

Do they still just throw 1 pitch for the intentional walk? Or do we see all 4? I think it would be interesting if we had to throw the intentional pitches because occasionally pitchers will screw up and throw a pitch close enough to the plate that the batter can reach out and line it into center field (ala Miguel Cabrera a couple years ago) and sometimes they can get wild and throw the ball too wide. Both these instances are rare but I think it would be interesting (if not already in) for future show games to add in some type of meter or something for the intentional walks.

Still just 1 pitch (visually, that is). It counts four on the pitch count though.

Back then I believe baseball games had people throw 4 intentional walk pitches, but it was requested or changed to one to shorten game time.

I actually accomplish this on my own most times. I usually throw 4 pitch outs in a row to walk someone.

The main reason is that it allows more time for my bullpen to warm up...the one pitch IBB doesn't advance your bullpen status at all.

No free agents pickups for the computer? Why wasn't this fixed? Do they have random pitch counts in the game? Where a batter may start of his at bat with a 0-1 count like in All Star Baseball? Has the menus changed any or is it identical to 09? Has the player card changed to show a breakdown of the players' career stats season by season?

I think he thinks you mean per game.

No...no random/gen/specific(all ala ASB2005)...pitch counts.

The FA signings during the season are by design. They didn't want the CPU to just pick up every player on the FA list each season and dropping the lowest rated player....the logic just isn't there right now.
Kolbe did kind of hint that he might look into figuring out a way....but it was low on the priority list and they added a ****load of things to the franchise mode....
Besides....like I've been saying...if you really think a team should do something like that...you're in business...you can do it for them this year.

What about injured CPU players? Do they sign a FA then or promote from AAA/AA?
