Re: Other RTTS Positions
I don't know if that means more per se....
bhurst99 was the resident RTTS guy....maybe drop him a PM...he will be able to tell you if I'm right or not....and if there is anything new.

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I know I am a bit late posting this question but I was curious to know if they got rid of the bug from previous years where if you dive for the ball using the R2 button, instead of being able to throw to first base after coming up with the diving grab, the game would throw to home plate instead. (note: this happens only when the person presses down hard on the R2 button as opposed to just tapping it to dive for the ball) It's not that you press the button to throw to home, yet the game automatically does this if you dive for the ball using the R2. It even throws to home if you dive for the ball in the outfield.Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
This may have been answered but I did read through just about the 1st 1,000 posts in this thread when it first started and also just searched "red circle."
In RTTS, is there still a red circle around the ball when fielding? Or at least an option to disable it? I was actually able to get a better read on fly balls in '08 without the red circle than with the red circle in '09.Comment

Question about a part of the franchise dealing with Transportation
I was curious if anyone could tell me if they still included the transportation in dynasty. I was hoping they may have removed it, but haven't seen it brought up anywhere in the posts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Comment

Re: Question about a part of the franchise dealing with Transportation
Kolbe wasn't lying...the bus does LIVE!
BUT!!!!
Your team has a plane..they use the plane....you will be prompted say if you are the Mets...and playing the Yankees....to take the bus across town...or the Nats...and play the Mets....to take the bus or plane(giving you two dollar amounts on what will be subtracted from your budget)
So....the plane is in.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. If that's the worse thing I have to deal with this game then that's fine with me. Come on March 2nd!Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I'm not a fan of the old way of transportation either, but I'm really intrigued by the changes made to it this year. Seems more reasonable.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Yeah, it seems to have a little more common sense. It's not like the angels are going to get on a freaking bus and travel to play their east coast road trip. I can handle the way they did it this year. Can't wait for the 2nd.Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I have a question, and it's something I've been wondering for a while now. Has there been any talk of improvements in the batter versus pitcher gameplay? As in, refining pitcher AI and solid contact and etc.?
I'm hoping certain changes are made. For example...
-A lot of players have been frustrated by the ability of pitchers, even number five starters or mop-up relievers, to pound the corners and get ahead 0-2 on perfect pitches... even when they're not really skilled pitchers. I've read numerous threads on this and I seem to experience it almost every game as well.
-I really hate the inability of user hitters to pull fastballs down the middle. When I try to pull a fastball down the middle, it just becomes a grounder. But the computer seems to be able to yank 'em out no problem. Most of my homers are balls hit on the corners, they have to be, it's the only pitch the opponent throws! I feel if I work the count and then correctly anticipate a fastball down the middle, I should be rewarded if I try to pull it.
-Finally, I feel pitchers don't get punished enough for hanging breaking pitches either, on both sides of the plate. There have been many times when I fed a batter a curveball only to safely catch it as a deep fly ball. And just today I swung perfectly on a slider down the middle with Holliday just to watch it die at the warning track. In real life, the majority of the time, a major league player will turn that pitch inside out... even the weaker hitters. I want to be punished for hanging a pitch like that, just as I want to punish the computer for doing that.
I know I can't be the only one experiencing these three frustrations, since most sliders seem geared to correct these issues.
CONCLUSION: So my question is, has anyone from SCEA addressed any of these issues? I know a lot of people might say, well just use sliders. Right... but that doesn't work for online play. For the record, it's not like I want to get more hits... I average 11 or so hits a game. If anything, I'd like less hits total per game but a higher reward for putting wood on pitches in the middle of the plate.Comment
