Why is the catcher stuck in the throwing position?

I hope they fixed that in MLB 10 The Show

I apologize if this question about the add-on stadiums has already been answered. Will the classic ballparks we download this year still be usable in MLB11 and beyond? I am assuming the plan is to introduce more old ballparks next year, but they need to be usable in future versions of the game.

next month is the marketing/media blitz, so I would say then as far as screens and videos.

The demo is slated to be released around the same timeframe as last year, so I suspect its about 2 weeks away.

I have a question about the clocks at the stadiums. I read that they will be working and in real time.



So if a gam is scheduled at 7:05 pm, and in the real world, it's 3:00 PM my time when I begin the game, I assume the stadium clock will be at 7:05 or so (7:07 in Toronto, etc).


But it only takes me about 45-60 minutes to play a game (I skip most of the walkup cuts)...in this scenario, would the game clock somehow advance (3 min = 1 real time minute) and the stadium clock would be around 10:15 pm for a three hour game, or would the stadium clock use real timing, and a 7:05 PM game start ends, according to the stadium clock, at 8:15 pm or so?



Sorry if this sounds confusing.

Asked this yesterday, guess it slipped through the cracks. Does anyone know, or can Russell chime in.


If not, it's cool, I'll find out eventually when I play a game.

Have they added anything this year to assist in your roster creation efforts?

Every year your rosters, especially the classics, are a huge part of my enjoyment of this game.

1. Fielding: Do OF'ers pause once fileding the ball before a throw? I cant count how many times a runner is just about to round third and my fielder is sitting there with his thumb up his rear while the runner scores.

There is more urgency. However, I didn't see EVERY animation that's in the game.

2. Fielding: Do OF'ers, even when they play the ball correctly off the wall get that misplayed feeling? Its kind of hard to explain, but I will try and capture it in a game and post the video. What I mean is that when a ball carems does the ball have a mind of its own? Does that make sense? Anyone else know what I am trying to explain?

Well, I certainly got that "misplayed" fielding when I was in control of the fielder, lol. But, as I didn't spend all my time playing the game maybe others can answer this one better.

3. Pitching: I think it was touched upon, but I really feel that the outside corners need to be expanded upon.

A BIGGER strikezone?

4. Fielding: Did you see the tapping of the glove when a pitcher fields the ball at a play to the plate allowing the runner from 3B to score?

This was a bit of a problem last year with bunts and the catcher doing that little tap. They were still working on the catcher logic, but as we got new builds it appears there isn't the problem, however, again did not see ALL the animations that were in the game.

5. Hitting Mechanics: Does the ball hook down the line?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, yeah, big time. Noticed this right away.

I know this has been touched on some (and maybe moreso and I just glossed over it), but how much more difficult is fielding with the broadcast camera? Will it take a lot of getting used to...or is it something that will be pretty easy to pick up?

It will differ from person to person. There some at the CD that couldn't get used to it at all. That's what auto-fielding is for.
