If you mean on the same machine....you can create and load up to 30 different profiles this year...PLUS there is a CPU profile that you can set that will default for any team that has "no profile" as it's setting.

Cool. So even for just an exhibition game I can load two profiles? I know that you can do it for franchise this year, but I'd like to keep track of user vs. user stats for head to head exhibition games as well. I couldn't find a way to do this in 09.

Can someone address if they made any changes to scouting in franchise mode? I'd also like to know if they made any changes to the way you hire and fire coaches from last year's version.

But will it record stats of both players in seasonal play? (wins & losses) In the 09 game I would play my friend on the same console in a 2 player season & the game would only save my win or loss if the game was my game on the schedule. (my friend would play as the other team & his stats did not get saved even though his profile was loaded) When I would play as the opponent in my friend's game schedule, only his win or loss would save. My stats or wins & losees would not save even though my profile was loaded.

Is this changed as of this year?

I'm curious to find out if this year's game will allow two user profiles to be loaded at once for local head to head play. In 09 only one user could be logged in with their profile. The second player had to simply log in as a generic "user." It would be nice to be able to keep stats and records for local head to head games. I know playing somebody in the same room is old fashioned, but it would be cool to have this possibility.

From stuff I've been reading it seems like this is a pretty common thing in PS3 games compared to 360...they won't let you log in with two profiles. I've also read though, that it is up to the developers to include it in their games.

As long as it was not season play the game was able to record wins & losses for both players on the same console. You can always put in both profiles when playing a game on the same console however with seasonal play the game would only save the profile of the person whose game was scheduled for play that was played. The opponent's stats & win or loss did not save even though the profile was loaded. It is something I complained about already for two years but has not been fixed as of yet. I hope this year it's been fixed. Why have the game let you load your profile to play the game if it won't be able record your stats anyway?

I believe I did post it. But I can not say 100%. I do remember actually calling up sony about it. I also remember contacting via sony's message boards & them e-mailing me back about it, but all they said was it was in the game when in fact it was not. (somehow I don't think they actually understood what I was explaining even though I was pretty clear about it)

They seemed to think I was referring to an online profile when in fact I was referring to the profile you create for yourself in the game that records all your wins & losees etc... when you play on the console against other people or against the CPU.

Stats Question

Hi

Im not sure if this has been asked before i asked it on the community day thread but i could not find a reply.

During the course of the real mlb season will the stats be updated on the show.

such as:
Derek Jeter has 7 homeruns
when you play an exhibition game will it show last years stats or that seasons stats?

im not sure i had 2k7 before they had the show 07 for ps3 but it was for a short period of time.

For your franchise games...it displays those stats of course as your season progresses....I just wanted to clarify.
