Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
Exactly. The Orioles are getting tougher and won't be an easy win for those AL East rivals this year. And next year, I don't think it's too extreme to think they might be legitimate contenders.Comment

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
By the way, if u or anybody else happens to be going back at B&B, I'm curious to know if there are 4 or 6 umpires (as it should be) for the WS and the All-Star game. I guess one would have to sim the season until you reach the All-Star game or the WS to check this out. I have asked that question twice already, but no one has replied yet. As they say, ''the little details''.Comment

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
Just curious about something...and perhaps this was already answered along time ago, so forgive me.
Does this year's version include more Historical Uniforms selections for the teams? For example the old 76 Pirates flat hats, yellow jerseys, black pants...or their pinstripes unis. Or the powder blue Phillies road unis, 86 Mets Unis, etc,.....stuff like that?
I love sometimes playing with nostalgia and having teams wear their classics and 09 only had a few of the classics but not all of em
So I was just curious about that
thanks!
guys anyone know if this year's version includes more retro and classic uniforms?
thanksComment

Re: the uniforms question...
The Brewers have the same selection of unis as last year. Exactly the same.
So, that's 1 team solved. Anybody else care to chime in?Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
Finally got to sample the game today at best buy. Had to wait a half hour for 2 morons who didnt know how to play at all, they walked in or wild pitched in 8 runs.
The start button on the controller wasn't responding so I had to continue their game. It Yanks vs Red Sox at citi field.
-Citi field looks amazingly life like from what I know of it. The colors make it really stand out.
-Game went from dusk to night and the lighting is much improved at night, a lot less stale.
The colors in the game seem to pop out more and its just simply beautiful.
-When players strike out, either swinging or looking, you actually see them strike out and then they cut away, not like last year when they'd cut away right before they strike out.
-Pitching seems a bit tougher. Same as last year but for me I couldnt pin point anything.
-Hitting feels much responsive and more natural. Check swings are much much more respnsive too.
-FIELDING!!! I am loving the feel of it. Very smooth and natural once you get a few ground balls to really get a sense of how and when to press the button.
The players look like they are actually throwing the ball instead of the ball getting sucked out like there was a magnet in the other players glove. It doesnt just shoot out, it flows!
Catching fly balls felt more natural, it doesnt just suck you into the animation.
-Broadcast cam is great. Have to get used to the view and how to judge the ball properly but it looks great.
-Sabathia's delivery looks much improved and their are more variations for gear color.
Stadiums felt really alive as if they were actually watching you play and programmed to react to certain situations.
-Couldnt really hear the commentary.
I was going to buy this game anyway this year but you can't really tell how a game is going to look until you actually play it. There weren't many gameplay vids for the show so I found myself kinda eyeing the "other game". My decision is now locked in after playing today and after playing this, there is now way im downloading the demo of an early build. March cant come soon enough. We play today, we win today, das it!-

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
ok i am back
sorry i couldnt get any pics for those who wanted ones of the mets alternate [new], and sorianos stance.
for sors's stance he swivels his bat whiloe holding it high, while rocking up and down.
does that help?
the mets unis were like the ones now but with stripes, i think
i didnt write that down like an idiot, i was feeling pressure from a crowd watching me.
for the guys asking bout the Injuns,
Michael Brantley is in.
Matt laporta [now this was a pain in the buns trying to find numbers on these players, its liek a maze
then i found his power & contact numbers but its all done in meters, no numbers, uhg.
i guesstimated it for him and came up with
65L/68/R for contact
55l/68r for power
I was trying to figure out in my head
they really need to make it easier to find this stuff in the menus, and go with numbers baby!
Papelbon pitches from the stretch at all times.
Side note...
He took a frozen rope off his leg and it was ruled an error.
hmmm
i let him load the bases to see if the drumming was there and the game was LOUD as well as the store but i swore i hear it, i was trying to drown out everything else.
Funny, i tried to let up runs with papalbon, but i got out of the jam.
struck out two looking!!
lolol
Sorry bout no pics guys, truly.Comment
