Can anyone tell me about the outfield? Did players charge the ball. that was the top thing that bugged me the most!

just got back from best buy and yes i played the game and WOW!!!!!!! this years edition is amazing it feels so much tighter the graphics looked bumped a bit too the new camera is awesome, but for some reason they had the sound down so i couldn"t hear the commentary but i can barely wait for march 2nd.Comment

Thanks Kolbe. And I have to admit, the idea of shipping out copies of the discs to Best Buy's across the country to have played in the Kiosks prior to release is a BRILLIANT maneuver! Any casual fan who goes to Best Buy, sees the game, and wants to pick up a PS3 can do it on an impulse which is great for both you AND Best Buy! You got some great marketing folk working for ya!
I actually drove by the local Best Buy in my area on my way home today. The only thing that stopped me from heading in there was me driving a loaner car that I was just getting used to while my actual car goes into the body shop to determine how painful this bill will be!

Sounds great! All good impressions, I'm sure the game will look better at home than at Best Buy.
Quick question, do they have music for starting pitchers at all, and not just reliever music?Comment

I was panicking(okay...no...fireman don't panic...)
but I didn't want to e-mail you about it.
When the guy posted that nothing was coming down from the ticker...I was more than a little surprised...considering you guys added info from our first day there...to the last!
So the scores made it in.
Kolbe.....plain and simple...thank you. I know you probably had to take Grumpy Joe and Ed out to get it done and get them plastered....then bring them back to the studios and get them to add it!

Are there any Rangers fans here? I just got back from playing at my local Best Buy as the Rangers and noticed those hideous two tone blue/red helmets were still in the game. Not only that, but they wore red helmets with their home whites. I can understand those awful looking helmets remaining in the game after the Rangers decided not to use them before last year because it was too late to do anything about them. But a whole year? Have the Rangers decided to use them again? Is the MLB uniform style guide that outdated?Comment

Just played 3 innings at Best Buy... Rays vs. Orioles. gave up 2 in the first thanks to Crawford running into the opposing team bullpen and being slowed up! 2nd inning i gave up a homerun, only to be lucky enough to see the umpire reviews first hand, and they called it back! Came back and hit a 2 run homer to tie it.. but i left because like many i felt like a nerd playing a video game for too long in the store. lol. I love the new cameras when hitting, especially on line drives up the middle and what not. This game is incredible. I also loved the way the bullpen actually matched your roster, not just random faces. And they dissapear as used! Amazing! cant wait until Monday night!Comment

I think we just found the reason why it wasn't showing up at the Best Buy Kiosks.WHEW!!!

More than likely the Style Guide, teams can get away with not following it, licensees can not.

not in my eyes.. they seem to never change the game intros lineup intros (they even took out Matt introducing the lineups by name) or ending cutscenes broadcasting is ehhh.. it just seems like its gett'n kinda stale to me. They need to revamp presentation next year.Is it worth a $60 upgrade?
