Re: Trades repeatedly rejected
I have instant trades ON and I still have this problem. Its almost as if the the other team has certain packages it won't deal. Sometimes they won't take my larger salary players and sometimes they are more willing to give up larger salary guys. Either way, its really tough.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Im in my cubs franchise around mid season on the trade deadline. So far I am first in the division, with Soriano and Ramirez in the top 10 in most categories. So far my only issue is I dont have any speedster players to get on base and really create issues on the basepaths. I went to the trade block and looked at players like Jose Reyes and Carl Crawford. Reyes just doesnt seem realistic that he would get traded so I am not looking into that. But Crawford maybe because the Rays are 4th in the AL East with Desmond Jennings waiting to break into the bigs. But I couldnt find a deal that works that didn't involve sending Lee and Ramirez for Crawford.
So I looked at various 2nd/SS players and I could trade Zambrano/Fontenot/B prospect pitcher for Uggla/A prospect pitcher.
Is that realistic? Zambrano was my set up man, so i dont really need a replacement because Angel Guzman is really good for me. And Jeff Baker is a huge utility guy and he can play multiple positions off the bench now.
Also is there any 2nd/SS players that are speedy contact hitters that are of Zambranos worth?
You could always call up Starlin Castro too...Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Looking for a little input on something...
I play as the Royals in my Franchise and while they need help at just about every position, I'm really struggling with my Catcher situation. I have Jason Kendall and Brayan Pena. Neither one of them are anything special at all. Pena isn't a bad bat to have but he is not the greatest on defense. Kendall is average at best.
Basically, I'm looking for a decent Catcher. Doesn't have to have great overall rating but I would love for him to be a piece for the future but at the same time, I want him to be able to play now and not be a prospect.
Any suggestions?PSN - RedSea_RouchComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I try and maintain some form of realism in my trades as well. If teams aren't likely to trade a guy in real life, I probably won't trade for him in my Franchise.
Would the Orioles really trade Wieters?PSN - RedSea_RouchComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Those are all top tier prospect guys. I really don't need something like that. Especiall with my Royals having 19YO Wil Myers at Catcher with an A potential.
I just need a little something now. I'm thinking Saltalamacchia. Looking at the Rangers, they have Teagarden and Max Ramirez back there.
Hmmm.....
Now to get a little more help defensively and out of the pen.PSN - RedSea_RouchComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
If you are just looking for a stop gap at catcher, try for Landon Powell with the A's or Jake Fox. While Fox isn't really much of a catcher in real life, that doesn't really matter in the game. He has some power against Righties, but I struggled with him and sent him down. The fact that no one grabbed him off waivers means you might be able to get him pretty cheaply. Powell on the other hand is a good catcher and most likely would be the starting catcher if the A's didn't have Suzuki. They also have Stassi if you are using the OS rosters, which is an A potential so you might be able to get either of the above two for a decently low price.Comment

More trades:
6-24 Angels trade SP Scott Kazmir to the Nationals for SP J.D. Martin. I really like this trade for two reasons: first, the Angels are in dead last and look to have given up for the season, while the Nationals are only 2 games back on the Phillies and have a real shot. And second, Kazmir just owns me. I am glad that we may never have to face him again, at least this season.
6-25 Philles trade SP Vance Worley and SP Antonio Bastardo to the Reds for SP Bronson Arroyo, 2B Miguel Cairo and RP Jared Burton. I only wish this trade had happened before I played the Reds and Arroyo shut me out.Comment
