As for the hitting engine debate, I don't like the current one. Either make the current hitting engine to where it feels like MVP's or get a reticule one like PYS. In Mvp 05, it seemed like the result of the hit was what it should have been factoring in the hitter, the pitcher, etc... , all the time. I almost always understood why the result was what it was. In the show, I almost never seem to feel that way. Atleast 10 times a game there's a "why the bleep did it end up like that?", and it's frustrating.

This may seem little but I suspect we will see changes to the whole coaching/manager system. Maybe editing them. But definitely being able to hire and fire during the season. I would love it if they would allow coaches to be transferred while under contract. For example, 3B coach moved to manager. Rather than the current system where you have to fire them then rehire. Also it would be cool if you could hire someone else's coach tp be your manager. Kinda like what can happen in college hoops 2k8 where assistants can be hired as head coaches at other schools. To me these additions would spruce up the franchise even more. Add these options as well as tighten up the game play and this game would be near perfection.

A little thing but I'd love to name my save.

I'm an anxious guy, rolling with a HUGE amount of back up saves and it is boring to scroll all the saves and then wait to see the date.

I wanted to name them, eg ARI end of Apr...

It would be more useful if we could create save folder.
For instance, if I'm ruling a D'backs franchise, it would be nice to have a folder ARI franchise and my saves (renamed!) in.

(not sure it is possible to do but renaming the save is)

One thing that need to be addressed is the number of balls infielders thrown in the dirt to 1st. I swear about half of the throws skip in the dirt before reaching 1st base. There should be a much higher percentage of accurate throws that don't hit the dirt. The number of errors is good though, since the 1st basemen scoop up 90% of the throws in the dirt. Basically we need less throws going in the dirt but a higher percentage of the throws that hit the dirt being misplayed. Make Sense?

One thing I'd like to see changed is that you never see how your minor league players progress statistically. I know there is progression that is calculated by + & -, but I'd like to see stats kept for each player at each level to see how they come along.

Isn't it funny how certain things of no consequence can bug you? For me, I hate playing in a stadium where the fans reach over for the ball and fall onto the field. No problem the first one or two times, but after about the fifth time I wonder why there is no security to stop this. Especially when it is the exact same fan several times. In a real game, that fan is getting a personalized escort straight to the parking lot.

I am not sure what will be changed.

But I hope too see more of the "little" things that we see everyday at a real ball park. Like Bat Boys and Ball Girls/Ball Boys in realtime, Fans holding Signs, More camera view options and improved "Realtime" play and a cooler looking TV style presentation with more stat overlays like the overlays from "MLB Network" and an improved anouncing booth. And also improved crowd noise and more stadium specific sounds.

And last I hope most of the annoying fielding bugs are fixed.

Thats just some of the things that I am hoping for.

Can't wait until we get some real MLB 11 The Show news!

I know everyone wants these little things, but personally, there is one "big" little thing that needs to be addressed that has just seemed to hamper my game experience for years and it is the one thing 2k does better. That thing would be Unique Stances/Pitching Deliveries. The Show has always seemed to be off on these. It's just a huge pet peeve. It doesnt' feel real when the top players in the game don't look anything like themselves because their stances are so off.

In the off season, there needs to be someting done to include the Winter Meetings. The Winter Meetings are the most active and interesting part of the off season. I can't really think of a way they could make this time more interesting in the game. Maybe they could do something like NHL and let you talk to the GMs. Or maybe let the trading loosen up a little bit. I don't know. Make it more interesting somehow.

2K did something right, they coined the term "sig style" which marketing has gotten in the heads of gamers to make them think they only do it right.

My favorites were hearing people complain and say Papi and Howard stances are off, when the players themselves were the ones who did them.

For 2K basketball, their sig style is more than just "marketing". There isn't a dev team that does more than them when it comes to nailing a players likeness.

And lets not be foolish, these players don't take their sessions seriously. This isn't pinning all blame on SCEA, its just that these mo-cap sessions are more like PR than getting down to the nitty gritty. Get actors, get it right and over with. There are valid points being made(especially on the pitching side).

There will always be two sides to this argument...Lets us not go down this road for the 200th time.
