    Pared everything sounds awesome! Thanks for all the info. The only thing I am disappointed in is:

    "you can do 2v2 online (a team of 2 must be on the same console, not 4 individual connections)."

    I was so stoked to play 2 vs 2 with three of my buddies where each of us are at a different location. Oh well maybe next year.

    Keep sending us as much info as possible.....although it's going to make the wait even more difficult.

      Co-op can not be played in franchise mode this year. (they tried but it will be next year)

      It can only be played in exhibition and online.

      Only two PS3s can do co-op online with the current network. Meaning...

      If you and a friend are on one PS3 in the same room, you can play against either the CPU online, two other people on the same console somewhere else online, or against one person online.

      (2vs2)
      (2vs1)
      (2vsCPU)

      Local you can have 4 people on one console (2vs2), (2vs1) and (2vsCPU).

        Certainly improved. Not sure if it has to do with the player positioning since that wasn't changed when I played the game but the variety is certainly there. Still a few types I'm looking to see in the game... and we discussed them (like a high chopper!)... Not sure if they are in though...

        Yeah, that's why I clarified. It's still going to be an absolute blast. All the fun of something like NBA Jam but in sim-style settings with MLB '11.

          You'll have to wait about info about the baserunning control scheme. I don't know what's final but just know we spent a good deal of time going over a solid set of controls with the analog and triggers to simulate steps, jumps, quick return to base, etc.QOUTE]

                  I put this in another Q thread, but I guess since you're asking...

                  Have they reduced the jogging/suction in the Catch Region when catching fly balls?

                  Whenever there's a fly ball to the outfield it's the most noticeable. I run over with my outfielder, and as soon as he gets close to the edge of the Catch Region, he slows down to a "jog", like he's running in slow motion, and pretty much automatically catches the ball. It's a sort of "suction" effect that limits your control of the fielder (once he gets near where the ball will land, especially with a big Catch Region) and turns the whole Catch Region into an auto-catching molasses pit.

                  Is there an option anywhere for less assisted fielding (and/or has the control just been improved)? Thanks!

                      PARED - "There is going to be a new feature called the Player Vault that will allow you to upload and download individual players into your roster sets. I'll avoid discussing specifics but you can simply imagine the possibilities with this now."

                      Does this mean, for instance, that I can download the weekly SCEA Roster Update....then select a player from Knights Minors, download that player, and upload that one player into the SCEA roster update?

                        Very happy to see that fielding difficulty settings were added. I mentioned this in the Gameplay/Stadiums thread specifically so I'm happy to see this was added. Can someone expand on how this was incorporated, as in what are the differences between Rookie and Legend and levels between? Thanks a ton!

                          If I were to guess, I would say that would be one way that it would work. My other thought is that for guys like RodCarew, they could add their created players on sportsconnect and then you could upload that player into your roster. I really think the options for this are endless!!

                            While I've got you on the line... how improved is the Real-Time Presentation?

                            RTP was nice last year, but you could tell it was its first year (esp with some of the animations and transitions)... it looked good but a little rough. Any videos and/or descriptions of improved RTP would be great.

                              That's what I'm praying for...as you said the options would be endless...this would be by far my favorite option added to the game (i'm a roster geek)
