Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
Anyone play at the Rogers Centre. Are the seats in the first 2 rows behind homeplate (In the Action seats) Red or are they still Blue? Did they add the level of excellence on the facade of the 200 level in the outfield? Do the screens on the outfield walls show the out of town scores now instead of batter/pitcher stats? Did they fix the WS banners with the correct Jays logo? Are the foul pouls mesh instead of metal? Does the CN tower look more proportional now? Thanks.Last edited by harvey88; 01-11-2011, 06:00 PM.Comment

Re: Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
Pretty much all the scoreboards were updated(I think it IS all of them)
Brett is posting a pic of Miller.
The Player Vault.
Here is the deal.
You will be able to take any generated player...ANY POTENTIAL...and export him to your XMB.
You can then upload him to the Vault(edited or not...doesn't matter, you can edit him later if you just want to get a certain potential to import)
(or if you are just looking to set up your own roster....just leave him on the HDD)
Now you go to the MANAGE ROSTER screen and pick a player(ANY PLAYER....real MLB player...dev player....fake gen player) and choose IMPORT player(it has to be P for P or position player for position player(maybe even specific position...I didn't think to look) and the player you chose to replace disappears from your roster completely.
So basically, you can have a roster of all fake players...all with A potential if you like for every organization.
You can make the mix any way you like. No limitations EXCEPT for the number of each position/pitcher.
So yes...you can have a bunch of guys...all working on different teams....sending the players back and forth to quickly dispatch a completely finished roster file(one guy will have to put it together...that's all)
Should be a dream.
Stay tuned for another nice little announcement....this one is another wish of mine....I just need the blog to drop before I can explain it.

In your mind Knight, will this make editing rosters very easy then?Comment

Someone asked about Citi, it looks phenomenal.
All the stadiums look amazing. It is hard to describe, but the new lighting model definitely sparked up the texture quality.
Also the new HD boards and LED boards make the stadiums looks so damn real and alive. What they did is watch actual video from teams late last year, and use their actual graphics and layouts on the boards to reflect real life. It is a remarkable addition.
Kauffman looks FANTASTIC. The HD board is dead on. The waterfalls look much better. More busy and alive (all stadiums). I am trying to get your Crown height shrunk to match real life. No promises it will make it by launch but we will see.
I am going over the all the stadiums as much as I can. But I must say, it is quite impressive with what they have added from the feedback threads last year.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
If I repeat, I apologize...sending this before leaving work.
*Have the outfielders been moved in a few "steps" in order to open up the outfield?
*Have hits up the middle been tweaked so that the pitcher doesn't "goalie" block them as often?
*Does rain cause players to slip in the outfield?
*If anyone has tinkered with franchise, has the appearances by middle relief pitchers been worked on?
Thanks and enjoy guysI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
Last year, a couple guys I can specifically remember (Greinke, Buehrle) had new signature windups, yet when they threw from the stretch, it reverted back to their old PS2 days pitching style, and it really took you out of the game (well, me at least). I know this is pretty low on the priority list in terms of the big picture, but if one of you guys plays with the Brewers or White Sox, maybe you can check.
Thanks for the all the info guys, can't wait for more!Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
The new player vault feature sounds fantastic. Now instead of having to re-create a player over and over for each roster set (which for those who were around here in 2009 was an unfortunate setback for the roster makers because of the historical stat glitch), we can now create that player and then plug him to any roster set.
This feature is also important for moving retired players off of the rosters.
I'm itching to know more. Keep up the good work CD OS'ers.
I don't know if it's possible, but could someone check into player offseason progression if that's changed at all? Oh yeah, and are the main menu roster editing and roster control stuff still the same as last year or are they combined?
Thanks!Last edited by BatsareBugs; 01-11-2011, 06:49 PM.Comment
