I only remember doing this in MVP with the create a stadium option as well.

Yeah, you couldn't place them or anything. It was the same setup for ads they have now, except the ones you chose would actually show up when you started up a game.

I'm not sure if it carried on for the PS2 or not after the PS3 was released, but I recall it still working like that in either MLB 2006 or 06 The Show.

I've seen a couple requests for pics of Oriole Park at Camden Yards so I figured I'd make one as well because I think those got lost.

Anyway can we see some pics of the RF scoreboard, the Hilton Hotel in LTCF and the Zenith Apt building behind the LF stands?

Do we know if they fixed the LED board placement and added the retired numbers to the upper deck in LF?

I second this...It seems that us O's fans have to team up to get noticed around here. (I kid, I kid) Also, can someone PLEASE tell me if the dives while fieldind have been fixed? This seems like something that more people would be upset about. The dives in '10 looked really bad. The fielder would dive and stop almost immediately. Thanks.

That wouldn't be it. He's shown in the game, just with a fake picture. If he wasn't MLBPA, he wouldn't be in at all.

I'm pretty sure the thing with Ramone saying he's got no pic was one of two things:

1. They just didn't get a pic in for him in time

2. He's having fun with the fact (or is frustrated by it) that something like 9999999999 people asked about that pic (and some of them seemed far too concerned) even after Brett and others stated that a lot of that stuff was WIP and placeholders...lol.

Personally, I'm leaning towards option 2, but you never know.

I just wanted make one request, I been browsing this thread for a few days now reading up on things and I read on page that that Soriano's stance got adjusted and I was wondering if Chase Utley's stance got the same treatment? In previous versions of the game his right foot is on it's tippytoe where in real life that is not the case.

I have the same problem and I'm hoping that setting a camera a little lower will help with this, as I'm constantly swinging at pitches I think will be in the lower part of the zone that's, uh, NOT!

Don't forget...you will have the 4 custom cameras.

I apologize in advance for bringing this up again. I didn't see a response to it (and I promise it'll be the only time I bring it up).

Anyways, just based on the plethora of information here, it's too bad we'll have to wait another year for a drastic change in franchise, but I think it's been a pattern where one year the team makes big strides to RTTS then the next it's franchise. I'm really digging the screenshots and information for RTTS and I think I can safely assume that there is more leniency in attempting stolen bases this year.

As long as the amount of trades between high-potential prospects has been toned down a bit I think I'll be fine with this game.

They are working on a few things in franchise....this is one of them.
I don't have access to a build with these things done...so no way for me to know about the results until the game is out...same as you guys.

I was bummed to read in the CD impressions that you can't play co-op in franchise mode, but what about a single season? I sure would like the mode to be available for more than just one off games.

Can you guys get a picture of the Busch Stadium scoreboards and the LF area including the area of Big Mac Land.

In every version of this game, the Cardinals have STILL had the old Busch Stadium diagram in the "set ticket prices" area in franchise mode. That stadium has been demolished for six years now. Have they fixed this bug and put in a picture of the new Busch Stadium?

They are aware of it now....it won't get done this year. Next year...please put it in the '12 wishlist to remind them.(Kolbe just asked me to have you do this so it gets on the list)

Hey knight...this question is for the ratings guy. I know I had a pretty in depth discussion on how Power ratings for batters should be. It shouldnt be two different ratings unless its a switch hitter. Can you ask if there was a change to this or what HIS logic in this. I feel that power should eb the same regardless of batting from the LEft or Right. It should be the contact and vision that should be different. Just a "pick the brain" question.

Questions involve cpu bullpen usage during game.

* Will we see the cpu make better use of their pen? Last year, it was pretty much a "given" who the cpu was bringing in. I understand players have roles, but the cpu used the same "lineup" each game.

* Will we see the cpu make better use of lefty vs lefty and righty vs righty matchups?

Yes....Brian has adjusted some code to bring the MR appearances in line with real life and this has in turn improved the AI.
He has also tied the manager hook slider into simmed games now AND the SP stamina and RP stamina sliders into simmed games(as well as in game which what it was originally)...so between the three, you can pretty much tune how the CPU uses it's pitching staff to your hearts content.

Knight. Can you check if the problem with players retiring way to young has been fixed. Star players retiring at 32-34 is killing my franchise.

I don't think much has been done directly to this. But this is tied into your generated rookies. Always has been. I don't see many guys that young retiring though. Occasionally, but not overbearing.

As far as Audio goes.

Was the audio clip length increased any?

Like can we now have a whole song play during the 7th inning stretch?

Will DK57 or JH32 logos be in the Cardinals bullpen this year?

They have this info and if they can get it in...they will. No promise...

Thats ok with me because the gameplay will be much improved with the new lighting, dynamic weather, etc and it'll give the game a whole new feel. I'm thinking next year they'll revamp or at least give the majority of their focus on franchise like they did with RTTS.

Kolbe has some definite plans for franchise in '12.
I'll just have to make sure he keeps those in the forefront!

i know 'special' defensive abilities are available for gold glove caliber players..does the same apply for catchers? im tired of being thrown out on a great jump by a mediocre catcher when the balls in the dirt! same applies for passed balls that should/shouldnt be blocked! its all pretty random

How is attendance? If it's raining for an extended amount of time will any of the crowd start to sort out for cover and such? Is there thunder or lightening? Thanks!

Were more animations added to fielders so you don't keep seeing the same animation over and over?

Like for example everytime a pitcher throws one in the dirt and the catcher blocks it he then walks slowly towards the pitcher pumping his glove a few times. I see this animation everytime a pitch is thrown in the dirt and blocked by the catcher.

It would be great if they could add at least a few more animations for that scenario.

Or another example when the pitcher throws a wild pitch and the pitcher has to cover Home Plate it always look like the pitcher is squatting to take a dump.

Can someone at Community Day please check on this?

It was. To what extent, we don't know...it's not all in yet. I've seen some new stuff...but most will be added after we're gone.

This would be amazingly huge in the roster process, I'm sure Knight would agree. The more options a user has the better in most cases...It would help immensly with both current MLB players to play more realistic (such as Brian McCann & Ryan Howard having hot zones on the inside part thus having dramatic IF shifts) and with drafted players or "MiLB" players to tune the zones to be accurate instead of all zones being cold.

It would...but not yet.

I could be wrong but I have a good feeling that we are going to see a huge presentation make over for MLB 12 The Show.

Maybe a presentation that really feels like a real TV broadcast with a "MLB Network" style Highlight show updating you on all the games around the league with scoring updates and news. And previews of upcoming games. for the week ahaed.

There is no end to what could be done with a real TV broadcast presentation in MLB The Show!!

I only play season mode and at the end of a game I like to go to the charts comparing team and individual stats to see how my team is doing. It has always been possible to see how many double plays my team grounds into (too many!) but there has never been a stat showing how many DPs my team turns. Anyone know if this stat finally made it in this year? If not, could it please be mentioned to the devs.

That would be awesome...if tis for programming purposes then could there at least be a better CPU lineup logic? I mean the CPU does some weird things in MLB10 just because say pujols has high contact and high power so they put him at leadoff unless I control like ALL 30 teams which is a bummer.

Ramone said they are done editing stances when asked about changing Albert's stance... but maybe we were lucky and they made changes to Holliday's and this was done.

I just batted with Pujols, and, I dunno man, I'm kinda wishing that they could change it too, but it looks like we'll probably have to wait until next year...
