Sort of how RTTS works until you get into the game, but you would decide when you got in the game.
I don't know if I replied here...but from the sched...choose SPORTSCAST MANAGE as your gameplay mode...
Sim(quick...with a PbP......) to any AT BAT you like...and you can then enter the game at that point...even mid inning. It doesn't have to be at the start of the inning.

You did reply in this thread and then I answered back that while the Sportscast manager is nice, it still takes 5 to 10 minutes to get to a later point of the game you would want to jump in to, versus the 10 seconds or so it would take with the MVP/NCAA 'intervene' feature.. So, it's not quite the same thing, but I suppose the best we'll get for this version of the Show!

The more I thought of it though, It's probably even faster to actually just load up the game and advance half inning by half inning in the game than it is to use the Sportscast Manager to sim late into games you want to take over.

        Yes...it is.
But I thought you wanted to be able to jump in to certain specific instances...which a lot of times...would get simmed by in the half inning(full) sim.

I hope they are lengthened dramatically....This would be great for the atmosphere.....can anyone from SCEA confirm this, or the length we will get?

The only specific instance I want to jump into is close games that are late in the game, for when I only have a short amount of time to play (and will just play the last two or three innings of a game) or I want to get through a series/season quickly but want a little bit of immersion, so don't just want to completely sim the game.

I just found the 'intervene' worked perfectly as you could just not worry about the games that were blowouts and then you could jump into the close ones and play them out (or jump into any types of games you want, really ... if you see a no hitter after five innings, for example).

I just think it was another great option for the gamer that as of now isn't really replicated in the Show, which is a shame.

I was just playing and experienced something I'd forgotten about, so I thought I'd hop on and point it out before I forgot again.

Sometimes when a ball gets hit all the way to the warning track, you can have your outfielder right on the marker where the ball is coming down, but they don't react to catch it, and so it just bounces off the wall and you have to chase it down. All the while, the runner is taking bases he didn't earn.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I've had that happen to me. The fielder will also sometims bounce off the wall and fall down and sometimes the momentum will suck them into the wall, therefore resulting in a triple that was supposed to be a double and sometimes even an occasional inside the parker.

Thankfully not, because most real minor league stadiums are boring cookie cutters.

The ones in The Show have been refined so much, they could even be used for Pro Stadiums, especially with how nice they look with the new lighting model.

Just one thing I've noticed about the minor league stadiums is how high those outfield walls are. It makes me a sad panda in RTTS as an outfielder.

But they are indeed nice looking stadiums. It's kind of awesome to see some of them evolve over the years (such as Wagonman Stadium and Laughing Mountain Park).

Does anybody know if the pick-off system has been re-worked? I don't like how even when you tell your runner to go, when the pitcher does a pick off move you automatically dive back.

This bugs me, especially when I play my friend 1-on-1 because I catch him(I can hear him press L2) but they send him back.

Occasionally the guy will kind of freeze, but nothing more than that. I can understand if the guys think that would make it too hard, but maybe could we set an option to have it where it's MANUAL and ASSIST?

From what I remember reading on here, if a ball hits the outfield wall the ball marker will show you where it hits the wall and so you are able to adjust to that and play the ball accordingly.

I have no problem with the baseball caroming off the wall. It's just the disappointing realization after my pitcher gives up yet another fence-scraper where I can't do anything because of the walls. Then again, I bet that's how most outfielders in real-life feel after their team gives up home run that barely makes it over the wall.

Have they fixed one of the problems that has plagued this series since day one, that being the overabundance of generated knuckleballers? And/or are they still making one's who throw mid-upper 90s? When a guy can throw a knuckleball mixed in with a 98mph heater, that's just not fair.

Roster sets usually fix this issue.

Does anyone know if the lineup logic has been fixed this year. It was frustrating last year that all the lineups got shuffled after Spring Training and you would see guys like Marcus Thames hitting cleanup and Texiera riding the pine. I know there was a workaround but it would be nice if we could lock lineups or if the CPU can use better logic when making lineups so that they are at least realistic.
