Well you should give 11 a rent and see if it changes your mind. One thing I forgot to add about the presentation is that instead of now loading at the bottom corner of the screen, you get a baseball diamond with the blue lines "rounding" the bases. Russell swears the load times will be faster than 10 so here's hoping.
I spent a lot of time with The Show 11 and Russell at CES, impressions inside.

Thanks guys...kind of bummed by the news though. I was really hoping a few franchise things would be added this year that have been absent since the beginning. Analog and rtts is not my cup of tea. I'm hoping at least one or two wish list things are in there.Comment

I'm with you .........but direct additions(meaning something put DIRECTLY in for franchise) is for next year.
They are working on the 2013 problem....trade AI....some of the manager/GM ...and such.
There will be some things that peripheraly will improve the franchise mode, such as the bullpen logic....the new fielding ratings....the improved hitting and pitching aspect(which is helping with stats)
But I absolutely understand you guys.
I'm sure that franchise will get some big love next year.(I'll be prodding!)
tb;.....thanks again for the info for the event. Kolbe is finding it VERY helpful.

Re: I spent a lot of time with The Show 11 and Russell at CES, impressions inside.
MLB Today was a feature in MLB 2k10 and NBA 2k11 in which you could jump into a game happening on that day and play with real life stats with presentation that featured those stats. I didn't expect anything like that, but it is really frustrating for me to see players with 2009 stats playing here in 2011 because the roster updates did not feature stats. It would be really cool if they are in this year as Russell told you!Comment

I just remembered this important new feature. I added it to the main page.
Players that are played in their 2nd position take a 20% fielding hit and players playing out of their position take an 80% fielding hit so no more be able to pinch run or pinch hit for the catcher and having the non catcher catching with no ill affects at all.Last edited by FreezeTime; 01-12-2011, 01:35 PM.Comment

I guess that was what I was looking for, just a tweak, as far as GM/Manager stuff, trade logic, bullpen logic, stuff like that, I am glad to hear they are doing that, I didn't think franchise was all that bad, and is fun to play as is, but maybe I am in the minority here on that.Comment

Re: I spent a lot of time with The Show 11 and Russell at CES, impressions inside.
any news on equipment? Im pretty sure we are getting hosed again this year with no real gear, but will we still be stuck with one choice for every single player in the league or will there be some more generic options that can reflect on real stuff without the actual logos?Comment

Going by the fact that all other sports games have licensed gear and baseball doesnt. Yall have been using the same rawlings models for bats and gloves (dont know what you are using for cleats) for 3 years now. I am sure I am not the only one, but I would like some variety and not have every single player look the same equipment wise.Comment

Such a minor thing to be nitpicking at don't you think jd?
Thanks again Russell for taking the time to show me all the new features in the game. I think I've been pretty accurate so far in answering everyone's questions.Comment

That does not make any sense at all, not even sure how to reply to it. The only thing I can gather is that, lets say for example, nike, wants their stuff in basketball, football and soccer, but not in baseball? They really hate yall that much (doubtful)? Aside from the licensed gear the bigger issue is the variety. It's more about every single player having the same equipment. If there cant be real gear for whatever reason, what is the reason we cant at least get different models of cleats, batting gloves, etc etc. I know its a "little thing", but it goes along way in the aspect of presentation.Comment
