It doesnt really matter if its major or minor to you or not. some peoples major is another person minor and vice versa. I wouldnt come on here talking crap to you for something you wanted to know about if I thought it was a minor thing. everyone wants what they want.

I can see where JD is coming from, it's nothing that would stop me from buying the game, but it would just add to the realism like all of the other things they add. Can't bash the guy for asking. One thing I'd like to see in the future regarding this issue is just being able to choose what web for a glove you want, not every infielder uses a closed web like it is now in the game, and not every outfielder has an "I" web or something similar.
With all of the new additions, it's not something that is a groundbreaking issue. These guys do a great job year in and year out, it's going to be a long wait. Thanks to everyone giving impressions as well.Comment

- In those games, Nike, Reebok, and Under Armour Make the uniforms as well. They are able to knock out equipment and uni's with one deal. With Baseball, Majestic makes the unis, Rawlings makes the gloves and bats. Most Pro's use the Rawlings line of gloves and Bats. they have the Majestic and Rawlings logos in the game. Other names would get just too expensive. And I may be wrong, but I don't think you can re-create something in the game that you don't have a license for. For instance, I don't think they can model a cleat or glove after nike but put another name on it calling it generic. There is a lot of copy right issues that go into things like this. Just my thoughts on the issueComment

A 20 per cent rating hit for playing in your secondary position seems pretty high, especially for a good utility infielder who is equally proficient at multiple positions - doesn't it?Comment

I have no problem with them just getting a license from Rawlings because getting all of those would be ridiculous. Rawlings does make almost every style of glove you can imagine though so they can replicate everything imaginable as far as gloves go. The only thing I could see them improving is just choosing what type of web you want for each player. Like I said before, if you have every type of web, the only difference between that and the MLB, is that the logo would always be Rawlings in the Show.
As far as cleats and batting gloves go, I'm not too sure what they could do. They could probably make different styles of cleats (low tops, mid, and high tops), but I'm not sure how close they can get to resembling actual cleats out there. Batting gloves to me is just a color issue. Sure there are different styles out there, but I'm ok with just matching the actual colors worn in real life.
Just something to look into for the future, it is minor, but so is adding a grounds crew after the third inning. That's just what separates this game from others.Comment

The rawlings logo is not in the game its replaced with "the show" on somethings and an "S" on others. And you can absolutely re-create a likeness as long as you dont use the copyrighted logo. It is done in television all the time, the most prominent one is a coke can that says "cola" instead of "coke", same red can, same writing and everything. coke can only copyright the name brand coke, not a red can and certainly not a font. Also "most pros" is a pretty general term, if you took inventory of any teams equipment it would be a safe bet that rawlings would not be the majority.
- I have also heard from multiple manufacturers that the Rawlings Pro-Preferred series and the Heart of the hide series are among the two most purchased baseball gloves by professional baseball players.Comment

Yea you're definitely right, Rawlings is up there in sales for Major League gloves, I just don't think they dominate it. There are a decent amount of pitchers that use Nike (Halladay, C.C, Rivera), and a lot of infielders and outfielders like the A2000 series made from Wilson.
Sure, it would be cool to get all of that into a video game, but it's not a deal breaker. It's all up to the player's preference, there's no way of getting all of it into a video game. I'm happy with all of the other great things they have added.Comment

- Well, judging by the argumenative nature of your replies, I can understand why people have avoided answering your question... Good luck

It's not argumentative when it is the truth. You are trying to tell me something is fact when it is not. Rawlings does sell a ton of baseball gloves I am sure but we are not talking just baseball gloves, we are talking eqiupment as a whole. the question is why are we not getting a variety, which should be a pretty easy thing to answer. GO BRAVES LOLComment

Freeze, I saw that you use the Brewers so my question is are stadiums with retractable roofs always open during franchise or are they closed when the weather is cold, hot, or raining?Comment

It was confirmed in the other thread. The roofs, again, are always open. EnigmaNemesis also stated that he played a game where it was raining in Miller Park.Comment

maybe rain looks good in Toronto and Milwaukee but seriously we have to admit SCEA implemented something halfway on this.Comment
