Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
Well yea, I was just using that poss as an example.
But that is the way I have been throwing my errors. LOL
I dropped down from HOF to All Star for fielding and is much easier
But I keep my hitting and pitching on HOFComment

Ramone, the blurriness of the crowd behind home plate in the demo...graphically has the demo taken a hit simply due to compression etc?Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
Pitching is no big deal. I think it feels great and is done very very well and so is the hitting.
The only question I have is when using analog hitting, can I direct my hit or is it just down for start of motion and up for swing?Comment

I did... I guess I would've preferred it be built around the true position of your base, instead of just true left right up down. It seems more intuitive...probably impossible to code.Comment

You are throwing me off by saying direct your hit? Do you want to aim your bat in the zone or try to produce a particular type of hit.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

I think there's some good conversation going on around about analog hitting. Some are wishing you could have true-zone implemented along with the analog swing. But I think as it is it's just up and down. Although I've read it's a three part swing.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
I hear ya! When I first used the system and would go to field a squibbed hit with the catcher and I would keep pressing UP to throw to first because he is above me and kept throwing to second, lol. For ease the system has to mimic the diamond as much as possible.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
I meant, if I start my motion and press up to swing but in an angle to the right as a right handed batter, can the ball go to right field. I am not sure of that because if that is the case then I will go to zone hitting.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
I tried a few AB's with analog and the pci didn't do what I thought it would with relation to my stick controls. I just went back to zone hitting. Which is by far, in it's best form with 11.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
You can try to influence a hit by holding R2 and flicking the right stick before the pitcher deals. You cannot mid swing try to influence a hit by angling the bat in a certain direction. On the push up you do need to angle the stick towards either the inner, middle or outer third of the zone depending where the pitch is.
Even if you were to use the true zone option you need to move the PCI to where the ball is. You do not move in a different direction to where the ball is to try and hit it in another direction. The system does not work that way.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
