My CF's speed was between 80-85 during the 2013 season and I had 50 steals that season. It's just a matter of getting a decent jump and sliding to the outside of the bag (very important). My stolen base % was 80%.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I just got called up to the Show half-way through my second season. It was literally the Sunday before the All-Star game and I was the leading vote-getter in AAA at 3B. I was actually getting used to playing in AAA and figured I would be there all season, then the LF on the Tigers gets hurt and goes to the DL. The team moves Inge to LF and calls me up to play third because they had no other options. I was hoping to play in the All-Star game.

Then the team trades Inge to the Reds and leaves the franchise with four 3B--one at each level. So it looks like my job is safe for awhile, although I'd still like to get on another team. At 46-48 the Tigers are somehow still first in the division, two games up on the Twins. I didn't realize the AL central was so bad. So the playoffs are still possible but I don't hold out a ton of hope--must win the division.

My first game up was poor, 1 for 5 with 2 strikeouts. My second game was much better, 4 for 6 with my first major league homerun and five RBIs (against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium). I had been waiting to get called up for at least a couple months, but the team would not risk anyone to waivers (I wasn't on the 40-man), so I figured it would take an injury to get called up. Then when they do call me up finally I didn't want to be. This game is frustrating haha.

I also just changed batting from Timing to Zone and noticed my doubles go up but my HRs decreased. I don't know if that was coincidence or fairly standard.

I finally have 80 contact both sides, and have 80 speed. I'm leading the death march that is the A's line-up in AVG and OBP. I'm batting 6th in the line-up. Bang up job, manager.

I just made a new RTTS where im a SS and so far thru a month and a half i was batting .108 with no home runs... I turned it down to veteran and batted 4-5 with a 2B and 3 RBI.. should I try just adjusting sliders or is that fine? It might of just been the day because my team scored like 12 runs that day

I finally got all my main ratings to 99-contact, power, fielding and speed. I'm now now working on baserunning abilities.

So I decided to create a SS to pay homage to 2 of my 3 favorite Mets SS and I was going to put him in the Mets farm system Rey Reyes (after Rey Ordonez and Jose Reyes... Kevin Elster is my other favorite) but then I decided that while creating him that I would put him in the draft since Jose Reyes is still active... and after the draft I look in the upper righthand corner and there's a Mets logo for their Binghampton team... needless to say I was pretty ecstatic, I am also currently in Spring Training with my SP for the Royals that I have in the Dynasty Forums, and my Slugger/First Baseman was just called up to the Nationals Triple-A Team (Syracuse Chiefs) in Year 1 after hitting 11 HR and getting 50+ RBI, he made the USA Futures Game Team but was snubbed from the Double-A All-Star game despite being Top 5 in HR & RBI and his average is or was hovering at or above .300 at the time as well.

I'm still leading the league in hitting and leading my team in OBP, also tied for team lead with 20 walks nearing the end of May. Two move-up-in-line-up requests later and I'm still batting 6th. I think Joe Torre is ghost managing my team. With 30 power I shouldn't even be in an RBI spot like that. I'm under 35, and thus automatically a crap player apparently.

Quick question: what attribute increase would help my hitter not get blown away by pitches up in the strikezone? I'm currently at 80 contact both sides, 30 power both sides, 70 on both vision and discipline, and 65 on clutch. I know in general pitches up are a bit harder to handle usually, but my guy just gets the bat knocked out of his hands. Weak fly balls are the usual on pitches in the upper part of the strike zone. I'm great with middle and low pitches though. I'm hoping it isn't power, because I am really going for the speedy outfielder type.

I hope that works out for you... In five different RTTS's I've been traded at least twice in each. I've never ended up back with the team that drafted me. And it's not like each time I've been moved I've asked for it or slumped or pissed off the manager... The last three moves were just random. It you can crack the MLB 40-man before they move you, your chances of staying on are really good. I've only been traded once while on an MLB roster and that was because I ran when I had already been warned twice not to.

Just been my experience, hope you can stick with your team. Id recommend turning off auto save.

Oh yeah I'm very familiar with the trades in RTTS... my pitcher was traded once from Brewers while in Triple-A to Royals and then made one start with Royals Triple-A before getting added to Royals 40-Man and called up to bigs at the end of July. So far my Slugger/First Baseman hasn't been dealt by the Nationals yet. They traded away Bryce Harper pre-patch and now I'm in Triple-A trying to get the starting job... as for Rey Reyes he's now the starting SS for the Binghampton Mets

I'm a Nats fan. Even in that fake/supposed reality that Bryce Harper trade pisses me off...

Unless your dude is better and doesn't cuss out umps and punt kittens like Bryce supposedly does.

My second favorite team (as with most Washingtonians) is the Orioles and for the first time in all of those different RTTS's, I got traded there. I went from the Braves (bleh) to the Twins (eh... nice stadium, but overall - meh) to the Orioles. I'm in my third year (after a decent, but not stellar full year with their AAA affiliate Tides: .264 - 70/20/102 and 4 SB's), and I've beat out Nolan Reimhold for the starting LF spot (but he's still starting as DH). I'm off to a near nuclear start. I thought starting the full year would give me a decent shot at ROY, (since I've always been called up late in the year or just prior to the AAA all-star game and getting doubly screwed) but I'm hitting .426 with 8 HRs, 17 RBIs in 11 games played. I started the year with 6 straight games with HRs.

Forget ROY, how about a triple crown? I have poop RBI numbers because my 75 speed is somehow 2nd best on the team and I'm batting second. Meanwhile, Mr. Feast/Famine Mark Reynolds is batting clean-up with a sterling .175 avg and 1 dinger and 10 RBIs (I guess he's making his rare hits count).

My hot start is all natural too (no "The Show" roids since I started this dude while the PSN Store has been down) so I'm extra pumped. Might not need to buy any points (might still though, just to max my durability... total crap that an 18 year starts with less than 50? This stat, and I'm sure it has been said, should start at 75 or something).

I'm in the last year of a 3 year, 13.5 million dollar, 4.5 million a year contract with the Reds. The Reds overpaid for my contract renewal years and maybe 1 year of arbitration. I'll be entering arbitration next offseason for the 1st time. I don't think you can refuse arbitration and enter FA in RTTS like you can in franchise. You just give what you think you're worth to the arbitrator. I got 9 million in an earlier sim I did, but that was before getting ratings to 99.I'm a SS, by the way.
