Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just curious how you guys play RttS. Do you create "yourself" or play as a real prospect? I've been playing as Billy Chapel (from For Love of the Game) and having a blast. Check out my dynasty in my sig.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
1. Play a game.
2. Exit the game
3. On the training point screen, press R1 and you'll see the recent transactions screen. They also have 1 for the offseason, but this is the only way to find transactions in the regular season.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm doing RTTS as a pitcher, doing it as myself.
I was drafted by the Rangers and between AA and AAA I went 9-1 with a 1.55 ERA. They traded me to the Mets (which I fail to understand) where I went 6-3 in Buffalo, 3-1 as a starter.
20 years old, entering 2012 as the #3 starter in Buffalo. Looking pretty good right now. Will keep updating here. Call me a lame *** but I'm actually keeping a spreadsheet of my statsComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
The past two years I kept a spreadsheet for my RTTS player, tracking every at-bat (the count, pitcher, result, etc.)
It was really detailed and I had used it with the intent of having a thread here on OS, but this year I decided to forgo that and just play the game mode and get as many years in.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I really wish SCEA would make a patch/update that would allow us to watch games that we don't play in. Since we're on the "lame" topic, another "lame" thing I like to do is watch the game after I'm taken out (I'm a starter). I sit here on the computer, do other things, and watch it like its a real game. Since the presentation is the best of any sports game its fun to watch. I find myself rooting my teammates on.Comment

Forgive me for generalizing, I assumed you guys would view it as such because I don't usually post around these places. No harm, no foul, cheersComment

I finally got all my non-bunting skills to 99 with my SS.You can't train skills that are 99 until after the 8 week period and they start decreasing.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I have another base stealing issue with my speedy left fielder. Early on I knew why I was thrown out a lot stealing because my speed, BR ability, and BR aggression attributes were low. Over 3 seasons I’ve raised them so my base stealing was at .825 pct with 50 bases stolen. All of a sudden at the end of the 2016 season I can’t steal squat. Speed is 99 and both BR atts. are in the 80s and after reaching 40 bases with no problem I now can’t steal anything. The green light has been turned off and I’m at .629 pct. What gives? Am I missing something? I may just sim next season to see how I fare.Comment

And to answer Gagnon, I play RTTS as various versions of myself.I use my last name for all of them, the SP is me, the 3B uses my middle name as his first name, the SS is named Ryan for Nolan Ryan (if I had ever had a son, he would been named Ryan), the RP uses the name of a favorite relative (he's a cousin, of some sort), the CF is Dale (another cousin) and uses the audio name of Dog (my nickname) and the only exception to all of this is the C, who has a Latino name that was a joke name I had back in college.
Since my baseball career ended with a severe injury in high school, all of these are "what could have been" in my mind, I suppose.Comment
