Re: Couple of potential big problems in RTTS? need input
i dont think youre going to find out anything more. i also have this problem and i havent heard SCEA comment about it. Not sure if they know its a problem.
my guy will slide sometimes, but i cant control it. and when he does slide it is 99% feet first. i like in franchise mode where you can aim your slide to avaoid the tag. no such luck in RTTS mode tho...Comment

Originally posted by CuseGirlIf you read the controls within the game options (it's in the description of ASSIST) it says the CPU will slide for you "if a slide has not been CHOSEN".
I highlight the words chosen because it implies that the slide stick is used WELL before you get near the bag, it's almost like a decision you make right after rounding 1st, you've "decided" to slide head first or feet first. You dont just DO it, you PICK it earlier. I thought something was wrong also, but it's a decision you make halfway, not right before the base.
I kno it's wierd because in other baseball games, the sliding controls are instantly responsive. You just have to adjust.Comment

RTTS: Pitching Speed Q?
Is the pitching set up like last year, where you have to upgrade the speed of all of your pitches in order to max out your fastball? Or did they end up changing that? Thanx for any answer.Live, Love, Learn

Re: Couple of potential big problems in RTTS? need input
I am doing it halfway, the guy is still not sliding, Playing baseball as a teenager, baserunning/sliding was one thing I really excelled at so I am pretty good about knowing when to start sliding, the right stick does absolutely nothing. Auto slide does work, but 1) I dont want to use it and 2) it wont save on auto I have to go in at the start of every game and set it back to auto and that is frustrating. Can someone that is using classic sliding and saying they are having no trouble kinda give a step by step? I had absolutely no problem sliding last year.
I wonder if the players Baserunning Ability attribute has an affect on the player responding to the slide you try to do. I don't know if this is the case or not, just a thought.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Depends on whether you have a lot of breaking pitches or fastballs. Fastballs-go with control. More than 1 breaking pitch or pitches with movement-go with movement.
I had something funny happen with my current RTTS pitching career. I made a power pitcher with movement, went with go-to pitch, and decided to look at my player card after I started. Impressed with A in velocity, mostly Ds like I expected for the rest, and then I looked at control. It showed "Wild enough to hit the batter in the on deck circle". LOL I had a good laugh at that.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
In RTTS which rating effects a players overall rating the most?
And I'm referring to batters/fielders. Not a pitcher.Comment
