Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Devestated.
Started a new RTTS as a SP, drafted by the Mets (again!). Worked my way into the starting rotation and in my first game was looking at a perfect game.
Unfortunately, ended up with a torn hamstring after 7.2 IP. Had 10 strikeouts too.
Still, season stats are looking excellent:
4-1, 1 SV, IP 26.2, SO 31, ERA 1.01,Premier League: Sunderland
NHL: Boston Bruins
MLB: Boston Red Sox
NBA: Orlando Magic
F1: McLaren (Button) and Mercedes (Hamilton)
It's Tuuka Time!Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Completely pitching great the past 4-5 games. Past 4 games, struck out 45, sub 1.00 ERA, think like 0.93, allowing fewer than 4 hits each game. But record for those 4 games only 1-0. Team isn't supporting me with runs. Now Playing: MLB 11: The Show, Battlefield BC2, Pokemon White, Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 (still), COD: Black Ops, FIFA '11
Waiting For: Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, LA Noire, Batman Arkham City, The Last Guardian, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future SoldierComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Not sure if this was mentioned before but I think it might be a glitch with RTTS. Everytime I get the hit and run signal from the 3rd base coach, the guy at first takes off. If I don't make contact on the ball and he reaches second safely, he takes off on the next pitch to try and steal third. I don't know if its a glitch or I supposed to keep trying the hit and run until I make contact. It doesn't make sense that he gets into scoring position and then tries to get to third without me having a chance to wait for a good pitch. Anyone else experience this???Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I was getting real annoyed with rtts. I've never been a very good hitter, but found myself having to swing far too often as the cpu was throwing virtually all strikes. Last time I checked AA pitchers tend to throw balls fairly often. With CPU strike frequency slider knocked down three or four notches I can now actually take a ball or two.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
It was bound to happen sooner or later, after smashing the cover off the ball half way through my 2nd season, the Giants Organization traded me to the Mets in a 4 player deal.
My 1B RTTS player has responded by going crazy at the plate since being traded, vowing to make sure the Giants realize the mistake they made by giving up their best young prospect.
My first 4 games with my new team the AAA Buffalo Bisons:
Game 1: 4 for 5 with (1)2B and (3)1B
Game 2: 3 for 5 with (1)2B and (2)1B
Game 3: 3 for 5 with (1)2B and (2)1B
Game 4: 3 for 5 with (1)HR, (1)2B, (1)1B and 5 RBI
Stats for past 10 Games:
AVG .426
Hits 20
HR's 3
RBI 8Last edited by crbuke; 03-28-2011, 03:18 PM.Proud Owner of XBOX360, Wii, PS3

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Finished my first season as a CF in the Nationals organization(I was traded from the Texans).I got promoted to the AAA club shorty before the end of the 1st season and am on the AAA bench to start the 2nd season. BTW, has anyone ever made the majors from spring training? I didn't even get a AB this spring training, and I rarely get more than 1 ab a game in spring training.Comment

You might try playing all 3 phases of the game. I've noticed the games really slow down when you do that. I think it'll be awhile before we get the next patch.Comment

I saw two that even had a knuckleball and neither threw one in the games I faced them. It's nowhere near as bad a last year.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just got called up to The Show!! I'm in the middle of my second year (2012)... Started off my career as a RF drafted by the NY Mets - began my 1st season in AA Binghamton. Just before the AA All-Star game, I got traded to the S.F. Giants (myself and Ike Davis for Aubrey Huff) and started with Richmond. Got bumped up to AAA Fresno in the beginning of August, and started off my second season in AAA Fresno. Then, less than 2 weeks before the All-Star break, I was traded to Cleveland for Shin-Soo Choo. Played about a week in AAA Columbus before the Futures All-Star game - then got the call up to Cleveland. Fastest I've ever had an RTTS player get to the big leagues.
I played all the games - though admittedly, I had the settings a little easier (tweaked the sliders a bit for more power and solid hits, upped contact by one) and was playing on Rookie... and the stats show: was hitting .420 with 17 HR and 89 RBI before getting called up. Now - I'm going to make all the sliders realistic, because I want to have a realistic major league career. Definitely bumping difficulty up and adjusting all sliders so they're realistic... can't wait!Currently Playing: FIFA 22 Career Mode - Manchester United ManagerComment
