Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I knew this was going to happen. 2014!!!!!

Just a couple, Lincecum is on the Yankees. Buster Posey on the Nats. Nats apparently don't like Strasburg, he's on the Astros. Pujols is on the Royals somehow but I think cause he was a FA a few years ago. Lester and Pedroia both are on the Dodgers. Vito or Vialdo (Reds stud player) on the Yankees. Justin Upton is on the Rays with BJ. Jason Heyward is on the M's. Adam Jones is on the Nats. and Jay Bruce plays for the D-Backs now. All were let go by their teams except Pujols and Pedroia, I didn't see them on the FA list anywhere.

Stupid 2014 glitch. Worst part, I totally saved the game forgetting to check this glitch. My last save was last season during April .

I guess I'll go back and try again and keep restarting to see if the glitch stops, I heard their is some success if you do this.

Anyways, that was my first full season with the Reds, hit .299 with 22 HR's and 87 RBI's as a starting/bench CF.
I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Packs of wild dogs that have taken over most of the major cities.

Isn't the 2014 glitch that stars don't get signed? It's definitely not that dumb trades happen, I'm in 2012 and there have been tons of ridiculous trades.

Speaking of which, I was just traded from the Tigers to the Cardinals for Albert Pujols. It was me, Walker Melton (A potential) and some other young guy who is currently leading MLB in hits. This is because Miguel Cabrera (who won the MVP last year) was traded to the Yankees. Adrian Gonzalez spent one year with the Red Sox, was the runner up for MVP, won the World Series and bolted to the Athletics for a 7 year, 77 million dollar deal.

In other news. I have 94 strikeouts in 300 AB's. I can't hit the broad side of the barn right now and I swing at total ****, every time.

Just curious, Where do you see a Free Agent list in RTTS?

Now that OS Full minors is out I fired up my RTTS tonight.

I created a 6-2 220 lb CF Who bats and Throws right handed.

I got drafted by the Pirates and play for the Altoona Curve at AA.

First game: I struck out my first at bat. But 2 at bats later got my first hit which was a 2 run Homerun

Pretty fun so far, but I'm struggling a bit, oh and one more thing....the pirates are first in the division so far with a 21 - 16 record

Started my RTTS career tonight using Knight's roster & TNK's sliders except i bumped pitch speed to 5 from 4. Created an 18 year old, 5'10 202lb LFer, who doesn't have much power, pure contact hitter. I had 3 bucks so i bought 3,000 training points. Got drafted by Texas and started in Double A for the Frisco Rough Riders. I have taken every at bat, i don't sim anything...

I can't seem to crack the starting lineup even though I am leading my team in battingavg. and top 3 in all other offensive categories. I have made my manager mad because I had a few baserunning mistakes when I was learning the sticks. Last game I had was on 1st and got a hit and run signal, I took off and the batter missed so I was gunned down. I get a message after the game from my manager telling me I have no green light and He can't reduce my playing time since I am not starting. My manager refuses to switch my position and refuses to start me. The funny thing is I am currently in 3rd place for all star voting and I am not even a starter. Oh well I hope I just keep getting enough at bats to get my attributes up.

I'm assuming you are asking for playing time in the interactions screen right? That seems to work for me. I am in a MLB Bench role when all the starters are healthy, but if I ask for a start I usually get the response that the starting CF is hot right now, but I do seem to get a few starts after asking each time. As soon as that playing time interaction is available, I pretty much always activate it. And yeah the coach doesn't mess around with taking away your green light. I had it taken from me and it took a couple months before I got a message saying I have it back.

Yes, I am asking for playing time there. My biggest problem is I haven't tried to steal, I got picked off twice when I wasn't paying attention when the manager took the green light away. Well I got out on a passed ball at home when the manage really got mad, then I get the hit and run sign and the batter doesn't hit and I am the one to get in trouble. To make it worse my goal period ends and I meet 4 goals, I am on the who's hot list and and my manager tells me my stats are not where tehy need to be. I guess I have a bum for a manager. By the way I am only frustrated with my manager, not with the game. I hope they trade me then I come and lay the smack on them.

Well, I finally made it last night! End of the 3rd season, I am a September callup.

I wasn't expecting it because I wasn't on the 40-man roster, but after coming up 2 games short of the AAA playoffs, my contract was purchased by the Rays and I was moved to the 40-man roster. I feel like I "earned" it because I was never moved up because of injury.

                      @Danbo

During the offseason there is a menu option to view offseason aquisitions for your team. Then, just press R2 to scroll through every team.

Well, I restarted back into April to see if this really is a glitch or just bad management and it seems bad management for the most part. Still some dumb releases but I also witnessed trades that made me scratch my head. However, we kept Voto this time around and made the playoffs but got swept in round 1 by the dominate 109 win Braves. I had a little better season but now I'm just going full boar through my career since it seems even if the FA logic was better, star players are still going to be traded in weird ways.

Also got a better contract for one season and a little over 3 million. BLING BLING!!!

Well after about 2 months with the Pirates AA I was traded to the Chi Sox AA. I'm happy with that move.

One question though....In the three advancement periods ive receieved ive finished all 4 goals for all of them. So I'm 12/12 in advancement goals. Yet I still haven't been entered in the starting lineup....frusterating.

Since this thread is so big didnt wanna scroll through 97 pages for the answer. I created a 18 year old closer 1st year was in AA and 2nd year in AAA. I got sent back down to AA for year 3. So how long is it taking for yall guys to get to the big leagues? My stats improved the 2nd year with a ERA in the low to mid 4's of a ERA.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I think it's about time for me to bump up the difficulty level (doing Analog Pitching on Veteran). I created a pitcher who was drafted by the Diamondbacks. Started doing very good in AA and was kept there (there was never a roster spot in AAA for me to take). So I kept on improving and ending up just _ripping_ up AA. Ended with a record of 20-2, 1.84 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 150+ SO (more strikeouts then hits).

I focused primarily on my */9 and clutch stats until they were all 70+. Then I started focusing on individual pitch stats.

Well, after the first year, I was the third best pitcher (overall rating) in the Diamondbacks org. Signed a 1-year deal for 2.8mil to be a AAA starter. A little frustrated at not being in The Show, but also relieved. Now I can focus on improving my stats even more and getting dominant enough in AAA to move up to the bigs.

Though perhaps it's time to bump up to All Star. Going to wait and see as I'm not nearly as dominant in AAA as AA (thank goodness).

It's nearly the end of July and I'm finally named the everyday CF for the White sox AA team. I completely every single advancement goal until the last one. The last one i only completed 3/4, I was 1 rbi short, ironically that was the one that got me my starting job.

Hitting about .300 with 5 hr, 2 sb in the year. I wish i could of made the futures or minor league all star game but oh well.
