Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I created a RF and got drafted by the D-Backs. I then proceeded to have the craziest start to my RTTS.

First game: 12 innings, I get one hit.
Second game: *25* innings. I get one hit and 2 RBI.

I then get benched for 3 straight games and get 3 straight hits.

    I get a start and get a couple hits,finally a double.

    Benched again.

I respond with a pinch hit HR (first career)

Next game was wild: 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs, 1 error, 1 bad baserunning play and ran thru a stop sign to score go ahead run in top of 8th.

My dude is 10 for last 13. Maybe I should just retire now lol

Drafted by the Phillies as CF, 19 games into my season, my guy fractures his wrist. Not sure quite how it happened, I was on first and it was a sacrifice bunt and my guy made it to second with out sliding. After I get off the DL, first game back, my guy gets injured again, this time it is his knee. It said he would be out for a few games. Might have to work on my guy's durability.

That or invest in some bubble wrap, bro lol

I just picked up the game and am leaning toward making a SP this time around. I've always created infielders in the past, time to mix it up......I can't wait to get started

Can we see transactions from around the league during the season? For instance if a trade happens were my player is not involved, or signing, call up etc. If I recall correctly there was a league roundup section last year where you could view all transactions, AA through Majors. I hope they didn't take this out.

drafted to the White Sox. I am doing great. I loving every minute. I really need to boost Fielding up. I always loved that it only takes about 10 mins to play a game. Also love the abilty to sim games and still get training points.
Only gripe is the loading time. It is the only thing that is annoying. If it was half the loading time it would be perfect.

Getting the game tonight...just one question to all these guys hitting so many HR's in AA. Are you using zone hitting, timing hitting or analogue hitting?

I use timing and I've hit 11 through August 1st in Year 1.

Well I made a SP and go drafted by the Twins. I started off like a firecracker, 1.80 ERA in my first 25 appearances in relief. Well, I've been drinking while playing and once I reached the point where I got hammered, I got hammered and after my last 2 appearances my ERA has ballooned to 3.15. The lesson here is don't drink and play "The Show".

Did you ask for the trade or did it just happen? Weird that they traded you for a young "phenom," either way.

I created my guy as RF, drafted by the Nationals. I spent some left over points on training points, and was called up to AAA due to injuries on June, went on a tear, next thing I know, the Nats trade Werth and I get the call starting RF as an 18 year old. I am the next Mark Reynolds though. It's either a home run or a strike out!

this post makes me lose my mind! i am at the end of my rope with this RTTS. I joined the mets as a 2b since they have none. I bought 10,000 extra points to make my 18 year old kid a beast. i am still stuck in AA, in late august. i am rated the number 1 2B in the organization and all of the minors. i am hitting .393 with 35 hrs and 129 rbi. they keep sending my emails saying its your time to move but there is no room. WHAT????

so then i think to myself, self, turn on manual injuries and pull a tonya harding on every 2b on the mets. i give them all fractured skulls. not one left. still, no call ups. the mets have put ronnie paulino in at 2b instead of calling me up. i mean come on. something is BUSTED. this is the worst logic i have ever encountered in this game.

they may call you up during September call ups or you could request a trade. Also I think when we start we only have a one year contract so you could sim to the end of the season and just reject the contract and try to sign somewhere else
