You wont get to sign somewhere else. The only contract offer you will get is from your current team. They own the rights to you for 6 years so the only way to get away from a team in the first 6 years is a trade. I do find it odd that you wouldnt be called up, but every team handles prospects differently so who knows.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
And I was now traded for the second time in my first two seasons. This time to the Chicago Cubs organization for Kyle Drabek. I eventually got the call up to the majors and am getting the occasional spot start but mostly pinch hitting.
I've noticed alot of trades have occured in my first two seasons which is really turning me off. Smoak is on the Cubs along with myself now. Adrian Gonzalez and Edison Volquez are on the Phillies. Just a few things I've noticed. I don't think A-Rod is on the Yankees anymore or he was just getting the day off when I made my trip to Yankee Stadium.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
No luck for me.
1st game as a center fielder (playing right)- torn hamstring, on the 60 day DL.
Back, played 14 games, spot duty (I suck at analog hitting by the way) hitting around 220, slide into home safe after a passed ball- fractured ankle, out for the season.
Don't know whether to start over or except it as a cool part of the game even though I lost a season.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I am in need of some analog throwing help while in RTTS. I am a starting pitcher and when I field a ground ball and press right on the Right Analog stick it always throws to 3rd Base. Isn't this backwards? Can someone tell me what the analog throwing controls are for RTTS? Did I miss this in the manual?
Thanks for the replies!Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I guess it is the fielding camera view that is throwing me off. The throwing controls do make sense now. The fielding camera shows my frontal view when I field the ball so my instinct is to throw to the right even though in reality I need to throw to my left because I am facing home plate. I will play around with changing the fielding camera views.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Decided to start my full player RTTS today after realizing I know basically no prospects outside of the Jays system anyways.
I always feel like I get ripped off...I spend so much time on the face and then do no work when it comes to batting stances since mine IRL was Generic 1. BooBlue Jays, Blackhawks, AuburnComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just got to the first month of June and tearing it up in AA with 5 dingers, 31 RBI's and a .322 BA for the Flying Squirells of the Giants minor league system. I haven't touched anything via sliders like I normally do but it seems I have more pop this year, wonder if thats a direct coraliation to selecting power over contact in the new training category when you first start RTTS, before you even enter your name.
Anyways, I've fallen in love with generic swing 60. It's very old school esque like Pete Rose or Bill Buckner (I've forgiven him). Still in AA and still co-starting so trying to get my durability up.I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Packs of wild dogs that have taken over most of the major cities.

Started a 2B
It's the same, good ol' RTTS. Let's be honest folks, not much has changed. I might instead go with a pitcher.
I understand that starting stats are lower than ever, however, I really like the award system. It's very generous and makes a lot of sense.Comment
