Is it dumb that my Pitcher has a Change Up and a Knuckleball to go along with his 4 seam fastball? I'm not that hardcore of a baseball fan, but I was thinking the Knuckleball is just as good as having a Change Up so why have both.

Also if I make a Catcher does it let you call a game?

I would like to discuss the addition of the baserunning compass with red/green arrow that lights up to tell that you are pushing the right direction. It has already saved me a few times. Also, the addition of L2 while baserunning to follow the ball has been a lifesaver. Anyone else use these two additions regularly?

speaking of hitting L2 to follow the ball, can you do this after you have made contact with the ball while batting or only after you are on base and the next batter hits the ball?

A week before All Star game. I am slated to be in the game. I have the highest votes. I simmed most of my games so far. I just try to get the goals. I had 3 chances to go get moved up to AAA. But there was to room in the team. At least I will play in the All Star game.

Sitting on 2nd hoping to be hit home when the pitcher bounces one about halfway to the plate, my jaw dropped when the bum following me swung and hit it right to the SS. 1st pitch swing of a bounce, sure hope he doesn't get called up every.

Created a SP for the Phillies which was a mistake. Doing incredibly well with analog controls, avg over 1 SO per inning. Got traded to Tigers AA roster which was TERRIBLE as their fielders are the worst I have ever seen. TWO ground rule doubles in my first two games when the OF can't run down a ball correctly.

I have a .92 ERA, 90SO, 87IP, etc. but I can't get out of AA! Even got a complete game shutout. I always get the message that there is no roster space. Gotten that like 7 times already, what gives? Am I stuck in AA forever?

I get this message at the end of EVERY advancement period:It's a message from the manager

"You are clearly good enough to move up in the organization but we don't have the roster space right now. Keep at it and you'll make it eventually!"

I really don't want to have to wait till next season just to join AAA ball when I'm the most dominant pitcher by far in AA. Hell, I don't even have 10 earned runs in about 10 games! I SHOULD be on the MLB team by now but I keep getting this message. I thought it was just the Phillies since they are obviously pitching heavy right now but it's happening after I got traded to the Tigers as well.

Think I'll play out the season and see what happens but this is really irking me. I got this message after my second advancement period (my first on the starting rotation) and have gotten it for every single advancement period after.

I am loving the changes to RTTS. My only complaint so far is that you apparently can't look around when you are on base, which came in handy in the past when I was on base and wanted to see where the fielders were positioned before taking a lead.

I just noticed this. Puzzling why it was taken out.

so to follow up on my original post in which i complained about being in beast mode with no call ups in sight, and stuck in AA as an 18 yr old 2B for the mets. well, i finished the year and went to offseason and they give me a 8 million dollar deal for 1 year and it says my role is to be a AAA starter.

now, im not scott boras, but is this proper logic?? if you have a young phenom, you dont give a 1 year 8 mil deal. you give a 4-6 year deal. now when i bust the doors off it, they will have to back up the brinks truck. seems like a dumb AI move. now the best part, is opening day, i was on the MLB team. one week in, the job was mine. 19 year old rookie. granted, my player is a beast.

now aside from the odd contract, i come bearing gifts in the form of advice.

i started this as the first time i EVER played RTTS. i am HOOKED. i feel ashamed of never playing rtts before 2011. anyway, i decided to BUY the 1000 exp pints on PS Network. but i didnt stop at 1. i bought like 13!!! i was addicted to building this larger than life mammoth of a player. i was fixated in getting to the show. well, now im here, and $13 later i feel dirty. it seemed like a fun idea, but it took some of the fun out of clawing your way to the top. i just bought my way to the top. lesson learned.

if you like RTTS dont be a dummy like me and buy a player. build it the right way and it will be more fun and rewarding. but hey, at least the mets have a second baseman now.

This was kind of odd; I just finished an advancement period and got two e-mails. One telling me that my stats were not good enough to warrant a promotion, the second telling me that I was being promoted.

no problem I thought the same thing saw someone else posted it push L2 and move the stick like you did last year and it should be the same
