Really loving the layout now. And how I don't need to fight to create a speedster.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm happy to report that the velocity issues from last year are gone. At first, I thought they were still there because when I created my pitcher, it started me with a a fastball rated a 89MPH and when I put some points into my changeup and it went up to 90mph. But once I finished up, I took all my 500 points and poured them into fastball speed to get get the rating bar up to 90. Been throwing 93-95MPH with my other pitch velocities still all the way down.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Is anyone who is really good at making faces (like those who work on the OS Full Minor rosters) willing to take requests? I'd like to have my face made this year for my RTTS player, and every year I try to make a decent one and it never turns out looking anything like me. If anyone is able to do this, I could send you a picture. Thanks.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
1.starting RTTS after having tuned my sliders and settings and putting my changes as default, what do i have to upload next time i play RTTS:
can i immediately start the RTTS or do i have to go in and load my sliders and load my settings first.
2. what is with the roster: default comes with the game. if i update from sony and safe the new roster do i have to load this roster before the next RTTS session or is it automatically in when i played the previous day with that roster.
3.if i have to load it , do i have have to load the roster from the save menue or from the current menue
3. what is the menupart with the save folder for in The show 11 when i already saved my sliders and rosters in the folder with my settings.Comment

Are the training points accessible for anyone yet? I'm holding off playing until I can boost my guy a bit to speed things up.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I always thought I was pretty good at sports games, but it took me 2 seasons to get out of AA and AAA and make it to The Show in MLB10. It took me maybe a weekend of gameplay to get into the majors in mlb 2k10. I hope RTTS finds a little more balance than the grind it has been in the past, especially compared to its (lack of) competition.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
The post game sceen, telling you your perfomance, stats, etc has been totally redisgned. Something I noticed that I don't like is that they have scaled back on the season stats they show you. The last few versions have had pretty much all the important stats laid out for you. This year, they only show about half of the categories that they have before.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just got my first hit! First pitch. Second at-bat.
Made myself. Only a second basemen instead of first, cause catching all those groundouts gets really monotonous. A whole lot of power with a little bit of speed. I absolutely love the new controls.HoosiersPacersPhilliesRavens

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I really like the points system now, especially with the few games I've played with my pitcher. I need to figure out fielding though, the 2 throws I've made were horrendous
Only downside so far, I got drafted by the Cubs.Aaron

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I've been watching the clock at work now for 7 hours and 20 mins. Only 40 mins to go before I get 6 HQ Hours of RTTS under my belt. Making my first ever CF based on Ken Griffey Jr style of play.
I'm so excited!I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Packs of wild dogs that have taken over most of the major cities.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Man one extremely annoying part of the new points system is how arbitrary it seems to grade your at bats.
Examples:
1-0 count, ground ball single into right field (not a weak hit ball at all)
Result: ok at bat 4 pts
0-0 count, drag bunt
result ok at bat 4 pts
2-0 count, fly out to left field
Result: good at bat 11pts
0-0 count, swing and miss on hit and run
1-1 count ground out
result: good at bat 11 or 12 forget pts
edit: should add the one that just happened
0-2 count, jammed pop-up to ss
good at bat 12 pts what?
Nearly every ground ball base hit I have gotten I receive an ok at bat 4-6 pts. Why? I dont understand why? Is it just me or is a base hit always a good at bat no matter how weak you hit it. And getting 4 pts for a bunt single?
I'll have to keep playing to see if I am over reacting, but it is annoying to go 3-4 with 3 ground ball singles and get 4-6 pts for each, then go 0-5 with 3 fly outs and get way more pts. I'm sure we'll all begin to figure out exactly what we are going to get before the pts show up, seems like 14-15 for line drive base hit + 1-2 pts for each pitch seen in the at bat to me so far.Last edited by MrOldboy; 03-08-2011, 08:28 PM.Comment
