Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I get drafted by the Angels every year. Probably going to create a new RTTS guy because of this. I played with them in 09 and 10 and was a monster at 1B in 09 and SS in 10, this year I am making a CF and kind of want to play in a NL team. I don't want to select the team I like the draft option, but maybe I will have to break down and actually choose the Padres or D-Backs.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
something hilarious just happened in my game. I'm a SP, and there's a baserynner at 1st base. He tries to steal, so after my catcher catches my pitch he launches it to 2nd. Well, he launched the ball straight into my players back! Me and my lil bro was cracking up like.crazy. Never saw that before! Now Playing: MLB 11: The Show, Battlefield BC2, Pokemon White, Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 (still), COD: Black Ops, FIFA '11
Waiting For: Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, LA Noire, Batman Arkham City, The Last Guardian, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future SoldierComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Started RTTS tonight. Contact hitting SS with a bit of pop and some speed. Got drafted by the Rangers, which sucks because I spent virtually all of MLB 10 within the Texas organization. Really hoping I get traded during my time in the minors.
So far, I'm loving the changes in RTTS. The points system is great and I'm so happy I don't have to deal with stupid goals like take a strike, or hit and run. Even hit my first home run in the top of the 12th in one game after going 0-4 or 0-5. Loving the analog controls; I have already turned off fielding and running opportunities, though, just like previous years.
Only thing bothering me so far is the time it takes for auto-save to work.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Haven't quite fired up my RTTS yet, been doing practice modes getting used to all the new controls. I did the RTTS Baserunning drill, and baserunning is still absolutely brutal it seems. I used Denard Span and was thrown out 14/15 times. I used "Agressive" lead, leaned towards 2nd base...and got nothing worse than "good" jumps yet I was still thrown out all but once. I had 3 "great" jumps, and was still thrown out...looks like its still pointless to try and create a speedy base stealer.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Created a right fielder, only have 1 homer and 8 RBI, but im hitting .384!, when i played the demo i wanted to use the analog hitting controlls so bad but i just sucked with them, played liek 20 games and nothin, so i said ill use timing. Started RTTS and am loving analog so much better imo!
Oh and i was drafted by the A's... damn, hope i get traded, so i can play for the M's when Ichi retires :/.Ducks, Mariners, Blazers, Lillard, Favre, Iverson, Griffey, Hernandez, Hawks, Wilson,
My Mariners dynasty!

Iv'e created a SP a CP and a SS so far and everytime I got drafted to the Brewers. Is this just a coincidence or has anyone else experienced this?Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Back on the road!
I've created two players, one is a 3rd baseman who can also play outfield; drafted by the Braves. Second is a starting pitcher who's been drafted by the Giants.
AA ball here I come...
So far I really like the changes they've made to RTTS this year - the assesment of at-bats / batters is way nicer, and maybe this year I have a chance of getting enough training points to really improve over the virtual years.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Did you know:
• As a runner, you can now follow the ball by holding L2. Helps a bit when the camera angle percents you from seeing the trajectory of the ball.
• As some already stated, you can also use L2 + left stick to check defensive alignment.
• If you are on base, clicking select to bring up the running controls also brings up a compass after the ball is hit to show you which direction to advance or retreat a base.
• As already mentioned: As a batter, d-pad down will attempt to call time and allow you to step out of the batter's box
• As a batter, d-pad up opens a menu that allows you to view your advancement goals amongst other things.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I got drafted by the Orioles, juiced my guy and am now in the Show. I juiced him to speed up the minor leagues as the lack of points during simming was bugging me.Comment
