After a season and a half, just got sent up to AAA...though I'm starting on the bench.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Was pretty crazy to look at the Major League rosters and see that the Mets have Pujols, Drew Stubbs and Jorge Posada now. I forgot to check, but I didn't see Reyes so I have to think he went elsewhere. Will update.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I am about to start my new RTTS since my last file got corrupted right when I got to the majorsAfter I spent $5+ on training points.
I need to put more money on my PSN. I want to progress while I get better. I want to get to a comfortable place.
I was a 1st baseman. But I want a fresh start. I will start a speedy contact-hitting CF tonight then put 1000 points.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
New here.
So I made my pitcher a power reliever. Had success as a starter in '10 so I took a different approach this season. My pitcher is in the A's organization and spent the entire season in Double-A, as a set-up man. I made the All Star Game for AA, not the futures. I've demanded a trade since the beginning so I could close but the A's call me an asset to their future.
In AA, I had a sub 1.8 ERA with like 29 holds or something (I started to sim after I realized I wasn't going to close). They have me in Triple-A right now as a reliever yet again, but seem to be stretching me out.
Now my question is, has anyone had their reliever converted into a starter? My guy is 6'8" (supposed to be Greg Holle, 10th round pick by the Brewers) and throws now 95 with an okay slider and above average change. They threw me one game for 5 2/3 innings in a blow out and just wanted to know if I can convert to a starter or if the clubs decide?
Thanks!

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Are we not allowed to request a call up now? I'm at the end of July and haven't seen the option yet. For the record, I'm a starting pitcher, 10-1 record, 2.07 ERA at AA.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
*sigh* just got benched again...for stealing too much...but it really wasn't my fault this time. I got the hit and run sign from the 3rd base coach...the batter swung and missed, and the catcher dropped the ball...so I made it to 2nd base safely...at this the Major Leagues will be a LOOOOOONG ways away...and I play every game...LOL
EDIT: Then again it may be because I got picked off by one of thse lefty pitchers...always hard to read their pickoff move.NCAA: Florida A&M Rattlers

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
wrong, they do. I requested a trade and got the message that nobody is interested yet. Because I so desperately wanted to leave the Mariners I went to view the trade block, and saw my guys name and face at the bottom of the Mariners trade block.
I got traded to the Twins last night...not too thrilled (not sure how good they are) but anything is better than the Mariners personally. Still acing with my closing pitcher, but I'm still getting robbed of saves...doing all the hard work from the 7th to the 8th and then subbed by someone to get the save in the 9th.San Francisco 49ers

28th in Defense and bottom 5 in Offense...I have to try to strike out EVERYBODY because if I don't, we WILL LOOSE!..I have had 5 games with 14K's or more and taken the score 0-0 into the 8th
of those games I have won ONE lost TWO and the others were no decisions.Last edited by PowerPitcher; 03-15-2011, 01:21 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Update:
So far through 65 games my 2nd baseman is batting .306 with 7 HR's 46 RBI's 11 Doubles 3 Triples...still not listed as a full-time starter though.
It's crazy, I'm ready to begin my Atlanta Braves franchise...but I'm addicted to RTTS...this is just like NBA 2K11 all over again...and I STILL haven't begun my Association on there yet. LOLNCAA: Florida A&M Rattlers

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Had an intense playoff series last night in my first season.
Got called up midway through the year to AAA (Dodgers org) and was struggling coming off the bench for utility duty. Hitting about .230 over the last couple of months. Then the 2B got a hamstring injury, so I was forced into starting duty for the final two weeks of the season.
Playoff series went 5 games. For the series I hit .333 with 2 HR (had 2 the whole AA/AAA season combined) and started a come-from-behind rally in the 8th inning of game 5 with a 1-out single. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!Comment
