Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I just got a 60 day DL injury when I simmed it. When I got healthy I got optioned to AAA. It is September. Not a bad thing because we are in the Playoffs.
We lost 3-2 in the AAA. But I got called up. So I have the chance to play in 2 playoffs.

I love the fatigue system. my CP came in the 9th inning 2out. I pitch 8.1 innings, i got too fatigued so i got tooken out. The next three games I only lasted one out. It took me 5 days to get past 50% fatigue

That is ridiculous, that really shouldn't be that hard of a logic tweak to pull RTTS closers after 3 innings max or base the logic on stamina...sheesh.

Same here, I was hitting around .300 at AA then Got traded to the Giants and they called me up to AAA. And I'm hitting .230 with 2 HR's 22 RBI's.

          It's becoming really frustrating.

I like the way they handled the pitching at different levels in this years version...it actually makes it similar to what real prospect go through....although the crucible for real prospects is Double A or High class A...not AAA. Anyway, back to my point, in AA in RTTS you get a lot of pitches down the middle or semi-up in the zone that you can crush, then in AAA they are better at hitting the corners which makes you really have to adjust at the next level...then in the Pro's you really better be able to hit corner pitches because getting a pitch down the middle is almost non-existent.

I'm having a tale of two players right now.

My personal guy was drafted by the Seattle Mariners and sent to AA Jackson Generals. He's a first baseman built for power, but I've had ups and downs with him. After two months, I'm .235/.402/.422, which shows that when I hit, I hit for extra bases, but I'm still struggling to find my grove.

The random pitcher that I created however (the one linked in my sig) has just exploded in the minors. He was drafted by the Giants and sent to AA Richmond Flying Squirrels before being traded early on to the Orioles AA Bowie Baysox. He had 94 Ks before the All-Star break, pitched in the futures game along with the Eastern League All-Star team, and is now in AAA Norfolk Tides back in the bullpen.

                Ugh....
My RTTS closer (or Setup man now) comes in the 11th. Strike out the first guy. Give up a bloop single right in front of the RF. Next guy pops one one up to the RF and is the same place where the other one goes and my RF goes for it and misses it and goes to CF. The guy on first is on third when my relay man throws the ball into the dugout for 2 runs to score and I get tacked with with 2 ER. What gives? (I was the Home Team) Shouldn't it be two unearned runs?

Yes those should be unearned runs as far as I know scoring rules (which I think is quite a bit).

I've got to July 2012 and am really setting AAA on fire.I think the Angels should call me up. 10 wins, 100 strikeouts , 5 CG, and 5 shutouts before the AAA All-Star Game.Overall is B, Stamina C, Velocity A, Control A, and Fielding F. My 4-seam fastball sits at 98-99 and running fastball is 96-97, changeup 86.I've close to maxed out Control and Velocity and am making progress on Break. Anyone got a suggestion for a 4th pitch?I'd pick the knuckleball if it wasn't busted in this year's game.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

So this is getting silly now-August 2012 and the Angels still haven't called me up-A overall, A for Velocity and Control, all 99s for everything except 4seam break for my 3 pitches, 75 stamina, all /9 ratings 60+ with a couple at 70, and I made the AAA All-star game. The excuse I keep getting is full 40 man roster, but I'm the 2nd best player on the Angels roster. I should have pushed harder to be traded.

So I finished the second season staying in AAA and never getting a MLB appearance. Then the weirdest thing happened-the Angels offered me a 1 year, $10,750,000 contract. I entered FA early, I guess. It's only a 1 year contract, so maybe I can get the big payday next year. RTTS really needs that patch.

Can someone please share what clutch, vision and discipline do?

I know discipline is how well you can check your swing, but do you need the other two?

Clutch helps you in those situations when your controller vibrates. ex: Score 3-2, bases loaded, 2 outs, and your up. That is a situation where your clutch rating will either help or hurt you. Not sure what vision does.

Plate Vision enables you to make contact on pitches at any location, even on pitches out of the strike zone. A good example is Vlad Guerrero-he could hit a HR even on pitches in the dirt

Rejoice Cubs fans for your time has arrived. The orioles have traded you the greatest 2B prospect in recent memory for ryan dempster. I'm still in my first year and am now on the AA smokies after the trade. My first at bat with the smokies was a bomb to left field and in my second game with them I went yard again. Things could be looking up for the Cubbies...

I was in AA (3B) with the Marlins and finished the season batting .312 28 HR and 96 RBI and they never called me up to AAA.

The manager keeps saying my stats are not good enough yet. WTF
