My advancement goals are ridiculous... Allow a total of 6 hits in your next 7 series? Really? I understand I'm a relief pitcher, but my team sucks and I'm usually out there for 2+ innings each game.

Yikes, my average is starting to drop like a rock because I've noticed teams starting to use an opposite field shift against me.

This probably doesn't happen if I could pull the ball.

I just finished my rookie year with the Braves. Finished 2nd in MVP voting, won the Sliver Slugger and Rookie of the Year awards and tore it up in the playoffs en-route to being named World Series MVP.

Regular Season: .329/.372/.661, 36 HR, 104 RBI, 100 R, 14 SB, 40 2B, 7 3B

I simmed most of the regular season and all of the playoffs...


Playoff Stats: .426/.471/1.065, 10 HR, 15 RBI, 19 R, 4 SB, 5 2B, 2 3B

I tore it up in the World Series. Batted over .400 and hit 6 HRs. That lead to a ridiculous contract offer....7yr/$140.49MM deal. I'm going to be making $20,070,000 per season!!

I've had some ridiculous hitting goals...get 45 TB in your next 7 series; hit 7 HR in your next 8 series; drive in 25 runs in your next five series. Needless to say, I didn't meet any of those goals.

Some of the goals need to be tailored to the type of hitter your player is. I keep getting "improve you bunting rating" when I'm currently the clean-up hitter for the Orioles.

I'm making a bid for a 50-50 season but I'm stuck at 49 home runs. I already have 54 stolen bases so I'm fine (it's still tough, but working on my ratings and picking my spots still works wonders). I had a .400 batting average until June, but it's slowly eroded to .370. I'm also trying for the triple crown but Miguel Cabrera is holding me off on RBI's, 140 to 133.

That homer measured 483 feet and just missed the upper-deck. It might have pushed 500 ft if it had.

Alrodis Chapman is sporting an ERA north of 9 and has no business being on a major leagure roster.

Of course I match up against him in Batting Contact mode and he decides to be effective. I only had 3 positive results(my first three hits), and 12 straight failures before I quit out of training. If the guy was as good in an actual game as he is in batting contact mode, we'd be undefeated and he'd start every game.

I requested a trade, just frustrated with my hitting and our pitching outside of Gavin Floyd, hoping to get on a team with actual good pitching. Denied

To be honest right now I'm getting a bit frustrated with trying to hit, but even when I'm not frustrated, whenever I get matched up with Chapman on one of these hitting drills it's a miracle if I even get one or two successes! If only he could do this in an actual game instead of his typical Arrive. Give up One Or More Earned Runs. Leave. schtick.

Just broke the single-season Homerun record...pretty awesome.

Ended up with 84 homeruns on the season.

I was a little disappointed when I broke it though. The commentary mentioned hardly nothing about me breaking the record...

so pissed. im playing for pawtucket as a ptcher and i struck out 15 players in game 1 of the playoffs, 5 hit shutout, and the game gets stuck in the loading screen where it shows the stats. so i restarted and allowed 5 runs in 5 innings. got a ND though

I'm taking umbrage with Showalter(who has become the White Sox manager) not lifting me for a pinch hitter two straight games in the 9th inning. First game with the bases loaded, down 3-0, a pinch hitter would have done something. I popped out. Second game, we were down 8-1 with two outs, but he still didn't lift me for a pinch hitter that might have sparked a rally. I struck out.

While until recently I've hit okay, I cannot recall a game where I've actually had a hit in the 9th inning or later at any point in my RTTS career. I demanded a trade, no go.

So I recently started a SS and thanks to the awesome advice I received here, I am now batting .432, 14 HR's, 52 RBI's, .780 SLG % and am going nowhere fast.

Is it normal for non-pitchers to receive next to no points per game? I played a game last night where I knocked in 7 RBI's, 2 HR's in the game one was my first grand salami and the second was a walk off HR to win the game. I received about 83 points for that game.

I am achieving my goals, though... I am getting about 90-100% every cyce but my stats are climbing VERY slowly.

So I was just curious of that was normal or maybe I am doing something wrong?

As it stands, I am rated number 1 or 2 on all AA categories.

If that is the case, SCEA really needs to start giving fielders more points for field play because only getting points for batting is not cutting the mustard. That game I mentioned is rare as I usually get 2 hits a game, an RBI or so here and there etc... But to only recieve 83 points for that game up top is baffling to say the least.

ugh just had a frustrating experiece

this is my first show game been struggling with hitting (you know the story)

L/L CF/OF drafted by reds traded to angles in yr1

1st year:

220AB in AA with a .225 avg and 6hr and 35 rbi
80AB in AAA with a .210 AVG

2nd year:

Same type of start in AA but I finally started turning it around due to getting a bit better and due to changing camera etc....

250AB .270 in AA with 15hr and 45rbi with about 50% of those numbers coming in the last 30% of the ABs, aka i got real hot

then the weirdest thing happens

there is an injury so i go to AAA, a happy sad moment since I had just made the AS game and the futures game recently so I was hoping to tear up AA bit more althout i was the #1 player in the league according to the overview screen so I guess it made sense.

I play 1 or 2 AAA games and then I get the call for the majors as the LF is on the DL it looks like.

I'm the starter. After a few games I'm at around .250 with 1 HR



Its late July and if I stay up, and this is the part that makes me sad, this will count as my rookie year most likely but I'll most likely have no shot at the ROTY due to not gettinng the start earlier on. I'm hoping that injured guy comes back real soon and I get shipped down and have a sull season shot at the ROTY next year

year 2 on mlb roster:
current season, started as starter but got benched for a month since i could not make a lot of the performance goals, i decided that a man with 70/85 contact and 65/95 power should be hittitng a bit better than .200 so i took the hitting to rookie (sad i know) and guess pitch form 1/4 to 1/6. now when i get it right i can tee off more sometimes and take balls that i might have swung at more

year 2 stats

220AB .235avg 8hr and 40rbi


i also tweaked errors a bit up since i'd never seen one in 600ish ab, also thinking of lowering fielder speed 1 more knotch, there are way too many arm fully extended line drive catches.

also wish there was a way to make those sliding infield blocks/stops and the 1st/3rd baseman dives a little less automatic. those plays should be much harder to pull off than they are in the game currently. if a ball gets smoked to the feet of the 1st or 3rd baseman laying down for a diving snag should be an exciting rarity not a routine play.

i'd usually feel bad about tweaking things towards my favor so much but since im still struggling mightily i dont feel bad about it

I think if you lower the fielding like you said, that will help the sliding and diving catches. I have noticed that adjusting the sliders to my favor has dramatically cut those down.

In fact, I have seen 3 or 4 through may of my AA season thus far. I lowered or raised everything to help me hit because in default, I just could not hit to save my life.

Yes. I started a CP that I have used occasionally just to see what it is like, though, I have concentrated more on my MLB ace and my AA SS right now.

The thing about closers is they don't get a ton of points per game, but they get used often so you are certainly able to rack up enough points over the 3 weeks that you can train your goals and apply some to your other attributes.

Plus you get extra points for a save and even if it isn't a save situation, your manager will put you in to get some work.
