What about season files? I'm not sure what modes are carried over from the MLB 10 to 11, but what exactly can we save and not save? There's no reason to lock up sliders, etc. Rosters and players probably can be kept in the vault, so those don't need to be backed up locally I suppose.

Re: No Copying of Saved Game Files Kills Me...
This isn't true. For NHL 11 we couldn't even download uploaded rosters from the guy that always makes them. The reason---PS3 trophies...
PS said that players were exploiting trophy achievements...
I mean really? Disable roster and or file share due to trophies....

Re: No Copying of Saved Game Files Kills Me...
I truly hope SCEA can do something about this. What I don't know, but hopefully something can be done.
I know that the chances of something happening to my system aren't great, but not to have that added coverage of insurance in backing files.
The only other thing I can think of, since you can't swap PS3 hard drives and the chances of doing a data utility transfer are slim since YLOD typically means the system won't come back on, is to do a backup utility transfer to an external hard drive.
I don't know that will allow for copy protected files to transfer or not. I don't have an external HD to check.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Back ups to external drives can only be applied to the system that backed it up.
So sadly that is not an option either.
Puzzling why Franchise file is like this, even if it was or the Challenge of the Week. Since it is Franchise.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: No Copying of Saved Game Files Kills Me...
Surely this could be changed with a quick-fix in a patch?Comment

Re: No Copying of Saved Game Files Kills Me...
Hopefully something is figured out. Personally (and I'm not saying this is or should be an option) I'm willing to give up challenge of the week, trophies, whatever (if these are the actual reasons) to get backup ability back.Comment

Would be nice if this was sorted out. And hopefully patched.
It upset people with GT5 when the PSN did it to that save, and so Polyphony patched the game and made it so you could back up your save.
With just as much investment in this game with play time in Franchise, it would be nice for some assurance of a back up, especially for those on old fatties with the "knock on wood" mentality.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: No Copying of Saved Game Files Kills Me...
I put hundreds of hours of gameplay into my franchise, plus the dozens of hours managing rosters, lineups, etc... It would really be a shame to lose all of that over trophies, or Sony not wanting people to cheat them out of some 99 cent training points or something. Now, more than everComment

Will be great. But let's see how well it will save 22MB franchise files via cloud.
You think save times are long now, wait till your upload times for 22MB are in effect.
For smaller files I can see this as awesome. It works great on Steam, but larger files will be tested.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment
