The stutter after the catchers throws the ball back to the pitcher is cause by the scoreboard on the outfield walls changing or refreshing. Its really annoying.

If this is what it is why doesn't it happen in the 1st inning? And didn't MLB 10 have this feature?

I've played a game at Citifield and a game in a minor league park. No stutter as shown in the video in this thread. I will play games in other stadiums and see if I get the stutter. I'll start to keep a list if I do find any. Maybe it is stadium specific?

It shouldn't. I had saves from 09 up through the new year on my hard drive while playing 10 and I never had a problem. I don't have my copy of 11 yet so I can't confirm or deny I see this yet.

That's a good question. Maybe it's only happening in the stadiums that SCEA updated the models of? So the new physics of the park models aren't completely in sync?

I've been playing at Dodger Stadium and that stadium did not get an updated model. It's the same as it has been for the past 3 years of The Show.

Whenever I have a issue w/ a game, erasing data is the 1st thing the dudes at gamestop suggest.


I don't see a way of fixing this issue tho. Try playing around w/ the camera angles. Maybe the Broadcast or custom cameras cause it.

Are any of you experiencing problems on a Samsung TV? THey seem to always have some kind of issue for people.

So is this patchable? Such a great game with such a minor but annoying as heck flaw lol. Also, I can confirm that 09 and 10 did not have this problem. I just checked both.

I'm sure it is patch-able, but the question is if SCEA will care enough to fix it. I made a post about it in the "bugs and glitches" thread.

I had it happen to me about 3 or 4 times, mostly when the catcher was throwing the ball back to the pitcher. Annoying but definitely not game-breaking at all.

I'm playing on a brand-new 160 GB Slim that I just bought a few weeks ago. I'm going to clear up some space around its ventilation. I suspect that's the problem.

My ps3 is not surrounded by a thing. It's kept clean so that's not the issue with mine.

I also have the intro stutter and the lag when the catcher throws he ball back to the pitcher. Have a year old 120gb Slim.

Brand new slim ps3 and it happens a lot when the catcher throws the ball back to the pitcher in broadcast cam. Tested in many stadiums
