    CF Colby Rasmus

Gimenez was my catcher in Triple A, and I knew I had no spot for him with Hill coming in, so I packaged him with Felix. Otherwise, this is pretty much the trade you recommended, Pete.

This would be a very sad day in Seattle if this were to happen....
    In other news:

    Cubs send:
    SP C. Carpenter (?)
    SS Starlin Castro

    Yankees send:
    SS Derek Jeter

On a side note, can you do contract extensions during a season? I cannot find an option for that...
@ Cubs/Yankees trade, that is wrong in so many different ways haha...

Yeah Gimenez is no loss at all, but you shead like 10 mil in cap room and got 3 great pospects in return, but man Felix is gonna absolutly rake in the NL and he may be what the Cards need to beat the Phillies to the WS and whoever (probably Red Sox based on others Franchise results) makes it there from the AL, seems like a great trade to me...

And it may not be that far off the truth coz i would not be surprised if trade talk begins to circle Felix and the M's in the next month or so...

As for contract extensions, not as far as i know...

You can on 30 team control. Put Waivers to Manual for the CPU profile(other 29 teams) release the player you want to extend, he'll pass through 3 day waiver period, and sign him out of FA.It's better to do it in spring training though, because progression will drive up his price in the regular season

I did one last deal at the trade deadline to bolster my rotation...

        Mariners send:
        SP Erik Bedard

        Mets send:
        SP Jon Niese

There both having similar seasons, but one (Bedard) is throwing less BBs and the other throws more Ks.

        Montero for AL ROY

After being swept by the Jays at fenway...mainly due to my bullpen, im looking for another arm. I looked around and saw Johny Cueto for the Reds is on the trade market & they're looking for a young C. I want to keep salty, but i've got a guy in the minors with some good talent. 1-1 trade, maybe ill add and ask for some more guys. DO you all think this is a fair trade. He's their #3, and would come in and begin in my bullpen, then maybe take over as the #5 if Dice K falters, but he's been pretty decent thus far.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

HAHA these trade things always get me. Who cares how fair it is when the computer doesn't care about the name on the back of the jersey. but i'll post a couple trades that happened in my game. 1 involving me

First offseason, I'd been trying to get Lester from the Red Sox for Buehrle, Mitchell, and some other A potential guy on my team, SCEA rosters. Full bar, but they still wouldn't accept. While I was trying to work this trade with them day after day, they traded Lester for Lincecum straight up. Lincecum was signed to a 7 yr deal the day they traded for him. Well, I turned around and offered the Red Sox Peavy (he only loses points attributes, never goes up), Mitchell and Konerko for Lincecum and Lars Anderson. They took it. Made me very happy. I guess they wanted Konerko real bad since they lost Big Papi in FA.

Now, into the season, I had moved Quentin to 1st base cause I signed Jose Bautista in the offseason. The Royals had Butler on the block cause I add certain players from the player vault to teams, I only use SCEA updated rosters and tweak them. I added Hosmer for them, but in the draft in 2011 they took an A potential 1st baseman that was just as good as the Hosmer I added for them. So they have 4, FOUR, A potential 1st basemen. So I traded them Quentin, another A potential LF that was 19 and on the verge of being a major leaguer and a AA SP that was a B potential for Butler. Unrealistic cause they'll never get rid of Butler if they're smart, but Ka'Ahuie (?) has been killing for them and I needed a consistent .300 hitter on my team besides Pierre.

Then on top of all that, the Royals traded Hosmer to the Marlins for a couple A ranked SP and got Michael Pineda from the Marlins for Mike Montgomery. LOL.

Oh well, more than 2 trades in that post. Still though, the trading is ALOT more sound since the update and i'm at least happy for that. Names don't mean anything to the computer, and I like that.

I'm afraid I gave the Cardinals 'invincibility' status....
(Wainwright isnt injured ingame for me)
              Their rotation:
              SP Adam Wainwright
              SP Felix Hernandez
              SP Chris Carpenter
              SP Jaime Garcia
              not sure who is 5th...
Then they traded Berkman and a prospect to LAA for Torii Hunter.
              Kemp for NL MVP
              Montero for AL ROY

CF Drew Stubb's may have lost his starting gig. He's 29 and he's a regressing B. 30 year old CF Jason Pridie just developed into a A and is still progressing. He's still on the DL, but I'll see what trade interest there is when he comes off of it.

How do you know when people start to regress?

Yep that's what I meant when i said Felix was the piece that the Cards needed to beat the Phills... Put that along with Pujols, Holiday, Molina and now Hunter, that's one hell of a team...

Personnel/Player Progression. It'll show the degree of progression/regression for all players on your roster-major leagues and minor.

Does this seem like a fair trade?

                          Marlins get:
                          Heath Bell
                          Oscar Salazar
                          D Pot minor league pitcher

                          Pads get:
                          Coughlan OF
                          Volstad SP
                          West SP (sent to AAA)

I made Ferrari the CP.. Bell was costing too much and I landed some pretty good SPs. My pitching rotation is looking really sweet with Latos,Richards, Volstad, Harang, Stauffer. Coughlan seems built for Petco Park.

In my franchise, the Indians just picked up Andy Pettitte from the FA pool.Good fit for them.
ALso, the Yankees traded R. Mcnair(CF) to the Rangers for Brandon Webb. Not a fan of that as Im the bosox. Mcnair is A potential. The Rangers have now picked up two A potential young OFs as they traded away Beltre for Casey Conn in a rangers-phils trade earlier. Opened up michael young to stay at 3B...they're gunna be good for a long time.

Phillies get another Ace and an All-Star LF for a solid starter, platoon catcher, and prospect who won't see the Majors for a few years. I would say the Phillies won this one, hands down.

                                is this a good idea?

i get verlander ackle and travis snider
i send crawford trout and brad emaus

i could either put snider in left or gardner .. plus i have harper playing AAAackley is better than emaus and verlander would be a huge upgrade at SP..

EDIT: instead i could do gio instead of trout which would be better i think but gio is A potential

EDIT2: i could do felix and desmond jennings for crawford and gallardo.. tough choices..
