I would consider it. Is Joey in the last year of his contract? If so I would shop him around, Alonso doesn't hit for as much power as Joey, but he hits for a pretty good average. Votto would also get you a pretty good haul, you could get a good SS and a few "A" potential guys. Play some money ball man.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Do you guys think it would be possible for the Nats to get Justin Smoak from the Mariners? Laroche isn't hacking it, I know he's their future middle of the line-up guy, but I have a good 1b "A" prospect in AAA that I would be willing to swap and I have quite a few SP prospects and a couple of major league SP and RP that I would be willing to part with, should I give it a shot, and if so what should I offer?Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
It all depends on the prospects. Currently the only teams interested are the Pirates, Red Sox and Brewers.Red Sox have Adrian Gonzalez and too many veterans.Brewers and Pirates don't seem to have the prospects. My farm system is looking pretty good, but I could use some help at RP and 3B.Votto is in the last year of his contract.Comment

I'm not sure about the Brew Crew's farm, I know they traded a lot of their good pieces away this off season for Grieke and Marcum.Comment

No, Knight's. They didn't seem to have prospects at 3B and RP(the areas I need), and the Pirates wouldn't deal their 3B.Bad choice of words.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Now im not sure what rosters your using, i'm using Knights OSFM rosters, and im assuming your the M's looking to offload King Felix... Well your proably gonna wanna get a young arm who may not be as good to replace him, a young outfield prospect that will be ready to take Ichiro's place when he retires in the offseason (unfortunatly) and perhaps another prospect at a different position... I ran a few tests on some outfielders that i liked and here's what i got for King Felix
Seattle sends:
SP Felix Hernandez
St Louis sends:
CF Colby Rasmus
SP Kyle McClellan
C Steven Hill
Now that may seem a lot but its certainly deserving of King Felix IMO...
Rasmus will be a great replacement for Ichiro come 2012 season and this does also give you the option to offload Ichiro right now and have Rasmus take over right away... I'll experimant and see what i can get for Ichiro... Lock Rasmus down to a long term contract in the offseason before he price rises to far...
McClellan isn't Hernandez but he's good and at 26yo he'll get better, though i would lock him up to a long term contract at the end of this year before he fully develops and becomes expensive...
Steven Hill 25yo 'B' potential at a postion where the M's have very little to look forward to... Lock him down to a long term a contract as you can while he's cheap and he could be a real good catcher for years to come...
Now thats fair to me but each to their own, just experiment and make sure you get what you want for him...
*EDIT: Explored the Ichiro trade:
Seattle Sends:
RF Ichiro
LF Milton Bradley
Minnesota Sends:
SP Francisco Liriano
CF Denard Span
LF Jason Kubel
Span replaces Ichiro at the top of the order... Kubel Replaces Bradley/Cust for DH/LF with Colby Rasmus... Fancisco becomes your new Ace with McClellan not far behind...
But as i said experiment and make the trades that you want to make for your team, and IMO i really dont care if the team would do the trade in real life or not, if it looks good to me then i make the trade... At the end of the day it is a Video Game after all...Kemp for NL MVP

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I had thought about 3b too, Rolan's not gonna last forever, but don't you have Juan Francisco? And the Pirates have a pretty good farm, you might be able to get Stetson Allie for your future closer, and possibly Tony Sanchez a very highly rated C. Any way if you could get one or both of them and a good RP or decent SS then I would probably make that move.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
He's good, but I don't think the Royals would need a 1B, it's a pretty stacked position for them. Have you considered maybe giving Cleveland a shot? I think they have the 2nd best 3B prospect in Lonnie Chisenhall and they have a pretty good farm as well. I'm not up on their farm either but you might be able to swing something there.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Pulled the trigger on this trade:
Seattle sends:
RF Ichiro
RF Juan Rivera
Minnesota sends:
CF Denard Span
LF Jason Kubel
SP Brian Duensing
Realistic? Eh...probably not. However, if I want to succeed, I needed to ship them off. Kubel nor Duensing aren't very remarkable players, but they fit my needs.Kemp for NL MVP

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
For all those telling me I made a real bad call trading away to good prospects to get Fernando Rodney...you were all right. Man, I can't stand him. He's blown a few saves when Bard and Jenks were tired and come on to also lose a few gms...not many good outings out of him. I'm looking to ship him for prospects, but Im not taking any more guys for my pen, ill stay in house w that one. Now 41-40, playing ame 3 in Philly tomorrow(series tied 1-1).Comment
