What do you think about this move?
Nats (Me): Get SP Zack Britton
O's: Pudge, RP Todd Coffee, and a "B" potential AA reliever.
Britton was on the trading block, and the O's were looking for a C and RP. John Lannon and Livan Hernandez are really struggling this year.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Also are there any good CF prospects that you think a team would be willing to part with? I tried to get Mike Trout because the Angels have Bourjos but they wouldn't trade him for anyone but Harper and Strasburg.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Seattle sends:
SP Felix Hernandez
St Louis sends:
CF Colby Rasmus
SP Kyle McClellan
C Steven Hill
Now that may seem a lot but its certainly deserving of King Felix IMO...
Rasmus will be a great replacement for Ichiro come 2012 season and this does also give you the option to offload Ichiro right now and have Rasmus take over right away... I'll experimant and see what i can get for Ichiro... Lock Rasmus down to a long term contract in the offseason before he price rises to far...
McClellan isn't Hernandez but he's good and at 26yo he'll get better, though i would lock him up to a long term contract at the end of this year before he fully develops and becomes expensive...
Steven Hill 25yo 'B' potential at a postion where the M's have very little to look forward to... Lock him down to a long term a contract as you can while he's cheap and he could be a real good catcher for years to come...
Now thats fair to me but each to their own, just experiment and make sure you get what you want for him...
*EDIT: Explored the Ichiro trade:
Seattle Sends:
RF Ichiro
LF Milton Bradley
Minnesota Sends:
SP Francisco Liriano
CF Denard Span
LF Jason Kubel
Span replaces Ichiro at the top of the order... Kubel Replaces Bradley/Cust for DH/LF with Colby Rasmus... Fancisco becomes your new Ace with McClellan not far behind...
But as i said experiment and make the trades that you want to make for your team, and IMO i really dont care if the team would do the trade in real life or not, if it looks good to me then i make the trade... At the end of the day it is a Video Game after all...Last edited by Pete_Dogg_18; 05-19-2011, 03:57 AM.RED SOX NATION!!!!Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I've only made 2 trade in my Rays franchise.
1) We are out of the race on July 31 and I decide to move Johnny Damon to the 1st place Minnesota Twins. I tried to work out a deal with a contending team only b/c it is likely that Damon will retire at the end of the season and I wanted to give him one last opportunity to win a WS. So, I sent Damon to the Twins in exchange for minor league RP Carlos Gutierrez.
2) The Washington Nationals are in 2nd in the NL East and playing well. They have already made a few trades to bolster their lineup. They were actively seeking bullpen arms. I made a deal for a swap of arms. I sent Kyle Farnsworth to the Nats in exchange for Craig Stammen and Sean Burnett.
Trade deadline has passed. I doubt I will make any waiver-trades. I'm very happy about my return on the deals. I get 3 solid pitchers. Two of which will be factors in the bullpen and another that can compete for a spot in the rotation or has the chance to become the long-man coming out of the 'pen.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I'm in the same situation as the above poster lol. Poor ole Freddie Freeman is just straight swinging at air in my Braves franchise. I've given em thru May and hes still batting .172 with 5 homers and 14 RBI's.
I really would hate to trade him off but he is the one gaping hole in my lineup right now. I'm currently in 3rd place in the NL East and only like 4 games back.
If I trade him I'd be looking to replace him with a similar prospect (though I won't be giving up the likes of Teheran or Delgado in the deal).
Any ideas?
If you really want to make a good deal, consider trading Delgado. I agree Teheran wont be going anywhere for me either, but I was able to deal Delgado to Cleveland for Sizemore after McLouth went down with an injury that will keep him out until August. So you can get a pretty good return for Delgado.
I saw him as expendable with the thought that my future rotation could still be Hanson, Jurrjens, Teheran, Beachy, and Minor.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I' m wondering if I should put Joey Votto on the trade block. He's a beast in this game, but I got Alonso with a upgraded A potential(Huge Upside from Excel at Majors) absolutely killing AAA pitchers with a .370 BA. I've got 50 million in cap room and it'll probably be 10-15 million a year to extend Joey. Thoughts?Comment
