Almost at the All Star break in my Red Sox franchise & in need of bullpen help. The Angels proposed Fernando Rodney for two A potential players (SP & 2B). Seeing as im good with those positions for now and future, I accepted and it bolsters my bullpen for sure. I now have Jenks, Bard & Rodney before Papelbon.

What do you guys think of it?

I personally hate Rodney, and giving up two A prospects isnt good

I would never give up that much for a bullpen pitcher, considering they are so volatile. Maybe a B & C Prospect maybe? But two A guys? Especially when A prospects never fail in this game? You got ripped off.

Alrite, I think i can do this trade but I want to hear what you think. I'm in a fantasy draft franchise. My infield is Brent Morrel, Yunel Escobar (Asdrubal Cabera will be back in a few days), Ryan Roberts (Have Dustin Ackley), and Prince Fielder and Ryan Howard. Here's my trade I might make.

Red Sox get:
Troy Tulo

D-Backs get:
Car-Go
Escobar

Morell is not hitting at all while Roberts is killing the ball. Once Cabrera comes back, I can move either Cabrera or Tulo to 3B and fill that hole. In the OF, I would replace Car-Go with Tyler Colvin. I have right now a very left handed hitting lineup and could defiantly use a right handed power. Also, Car-Go is struggling after starting off hot. What do you think?

I want to keep it semi realistic, but at the same time it's a video game.

I can give Carlos Zambrano for Markakis. I can get Reimold too but that just seems way too much. Z for Markakis seems like a bad trade for them to begin with.

Just curious your thoughts?

What happens if you make a trade offer to the CPU on July 31st? I only ask because I made an offer to the CPU and the message I got back is that they wanted to think about it for a few days. However, as you all know, the non-waiver trade deadling is July 31. I could still make moves, but, it would be more difficult. Will the CPU really take a few days to think about it? Or will they send me a response once I play my July 31 game?

So far only 2 trades have been made in my Mets franchise(I'm in mid-May), and both involve the Blue Jays.

Blue Jays receive:
Mitch Talbot
Orlando Cabrera

Indians receive:
Jesse Carlson

Trade2:
Blue Jays receive:
Robinson Tejeda
Vin Mazzarro
Melky Cabrera

Royals receive:
Brett Lawrie

Reaction to the 2nd trade: WOW, the Royals prospect pool gets deeper. I changed Lawrie's position back to 2nd base due to the prescence of Moustakas, but the Royals in my franchise now have an elite prospect at almost every position!

The result of that trade is that Tulo moves to 3B, Asdrual Cabera is still at SS, and now Uggla plays SS and 2B. And my Bullpen and Chapman, Jepsen, Clippard, and now Joba. Solid.

He has a better arm than Cabrera, so I put him at 3b

I would feel a stronger arm is more important for a SS fielding balls deep into the hole.

How could you need bullpen help with the Red Sox franchise, i had too much bullpen help i end up offloading some of it to help with my postional weakness... Was it injuries or had you made other trades before that weakend your bullpen???

No bullpen arm is worth two A prospects, specially Fernando Rodney. I would have toyed with the Padres. Gregerson and Adams are usually fairly easy to reel in, and both are closer capable.
