As much as i despise the Yankees, i did some homework and i would have felt better if we got Montero.

Like the Denver Post said, the team feels with Ubaldos talent and contract, they could attract more teams to offer more high end prospects to fill holes. Ok so they got 2 "high end" pitchers, but what about 3rd base? There are already talks of the Rockies shopping Mark Ellis, so where is the future 2nd basemen?

The team has all but given up on Ian Stewart, yet he still wears a rockies jersey. They wanna get rid of Ryan Spilborghs, Dexter Fowler, Ty Wigginton, and Aaron Cook. Come on there have even been talkes of Houston Street getting attention and the Rocks considering moveing him, despite the closer problems of the past.

How many times can a team implode their roster and start from scratch?

1. I would package rosario and one of the other players for some infield help.

2. I dont wanna feel the pain the Pirate fans go through.

BLOCKBUSTER treade news in my fantasy draft franchise... Red Sox give up three hot prospects, get power bat to solidify lineup...

1B Adrian Gonzalez
2B Blake DeWitt
SP Brandon Beachy

I needed true power threat at the heart of my lineup as Moustakas/Pete Dogg just weren't cutting it, and i thought with all this depth i have at SS/SP surely I could put together a package, with Belt, to get a true power 1B, and with this package I had my choice I could have taken any 1B in the Majors as all teams were interested... I toyed around with a few potenial trades, but this was the one that gave me the most in return...

What are your thoughts???

P.S I then flipped DeWitt as it was easier than sending him down, and got 2B Jermille Weeks and SS Zach Cozart and SP John Gast... Who slightly make up for the prospects i spent, so i ended up real well off in the end...

We are only like 5 games into the season but his ERA is like 16. He's on the trading block and was for some of last season too.

I'd let the season progress a lil bit before i start makin moves....valverde cant possibly have a 16 era weeks or months down the road

Looking to acquire Justin Upton from the Diamondbacks. I am the Rockies. The only players that are untouchable are Jimenez, Gonzalez and Tulowitzki.

Anyone have any ideas for me?

You could trade Wilin Rosario and two other A potential players.

If the D-Backs are in the same situation they are in right now, Upton is an untouchable, but if they are struggling, he could be moved for a MLB ready player and two top prospects. Look at the Cleveland - Rockies deal for some guidance.

Exactly. They shopped Upton to Boston early in year. If they got the guys they wanted you make the deal. Boston moved on to Adrian Gonzalez, and Arizona did the smart thing and not cave. Now Arizona has Upton and a shot at the playoffs.

Good luck on trading for him in the Show, it usually takes a lot.

Just made this trade...

Chicago Whitesox (ME) get:
1.Asdrubal Cabrera
2. Ezekiel Carrera
3. Some b over-all pitching prospect, who may actually be decent.

Indians get:
1. Alex Rios
2. Omar Vizquel
3. Brent Morel
4.some 24 yr.old with A potential, sitting around in Single A. Didn't matter, because he wouldn't have turned into a decent player anyway.

I ended up moving Cabrera to 2nd, to keep Alexei Ramirez at short. I then moved my current 2nd baseman, Gordon Beckham, over to where he played Rookie year, which was 3rd. Plus, I get rid of Rios' big contract, and I didn't need Vizquel anyways, as he'd retire after the season.

Did I give up too much? Did I pull off a robbery?

It all depends: Do you already have a solid pitching staff? Do you NEED a cneter fielder? Manny Banuelos is as sure a thing as you can get, and Nova is another decent pitcher. You aren't giving up too much either way.
