    Re: Franchise Problem is Addressed

Guys if you haven't checked out the other thread. Trade logic is improved I believe, but only in 1 player mode. I am simming now with single team control and I am seeing deadline day deals prospects for aging vets, less May deals. Reason I think, is with 30 team control the team strategy does not change it always says normal.

With single player it goes rebuilding, playoff push, etc so I am assuming trading is tied into that.

I'm runnings some tests and I finished the 2012 season, went into 2013 and the number one free agent is a relief pitcher, Clay Hensley. No big deal. I guess this happens AFTER the 2013 season? I'm going to do some testing but so far I see nothing.

2014... #1 free agent... Tyrell Conway (?). No big deal. Of course this was after I made offers to stars. This is not a big deal at all for me. I'll just make offers to the big-name players for the teams that need them. Problem solved.

As long as you step in I think you will be fine, how are team budgets?

How was the trade logic, though?

Did you do this in Feb. when you saw who was still on the market or earlier?

And did you do this after every season, or just the 2013 season (2014 pre-season)?

I did it in mid-January to star players (Halladay, Werth, etc.) that did NOT already have offers. I did this AFTER the 2013 season. January, 2014.

Ok gotcha. How did you determine what team to sign them to?

Just evaluated what each team needed. In fact, I'd rather do this than have the CPU make decisions. I made the Yankees offer contracts to the top pitcher, Halladay.
