Yea, I don't mean an arcade-y result at all. Sometimes the balance between the animation and the stick response isn't always fluid. JD knows what I'm talking about...
Meaning--if you press the stick all the way in a direction to go just a few steps, the animation might overreact and then you have the jerky/spasmic reaction. If the stick control could be more precise with a BOOST button to control sprinting and even reaching and lunging, it might add something to gameplay. Maybe. Just a thought.
Then you could even hold the stick to get to a flyball without the extra steps to reflect momentum. Just 'cause you run all the way to a catch doesn't always mean you are sprinting. I know the stick is PS, but personally I think it's easier to gauge the effect of a button-press than trying to find the sweet spot of the stick. Again, just a thought.
