    Could be.
I'm very surprised since going to the Community Events at SCEA just how strict and stringent the rules coming from the MLB in regards to licensed games is.
It handcuffs the devs in quite a few ways that I'm sure they wish they could just do what they would like to.

Accurate attendance numbers. The attendance shouldn't be based strictly on the team's win/loss record, as it seems to be in the game. Teams like the a's and rays shouldn't be getting 35,000 fans on average, no matter how well they are doing.
I understand attendance should reflect effective ticket pricing and on-field performance of the user, but it should take into account the real-life market the team is located in.

Yeah, I understand mlb having some rules so that developers in general don't make a mockery of the sport, but you'd think if they agreed to use these things in a realistic and controlled manner, the mlb would approve. But these big companies can be a headache to work with, so that's frustrating for everyone working on the game.

I wish they would make this more realistic too, but I don't think they have a say in the matter cause of MLB breathing down their necks.

THe mariners actully being good... ok that was a joke.

            1.The fantasy draft budget glitch.
2.Trade logic i cant trade a-rod for a f pot prosect because the team doesn't like me or im winning to much... come on.
3.Also i hate seeing after a few years seeing older plays that are good sitting in free angency.

                1. The ability to choose 2 different stances for switch hitters.
                2. The ability to choose 2 different toned bats for switch hitters.
                3. Pine tar in the middle of the bat and more realistic instead of entirely all over the handle.
                4. Pick a specific color for sleeves (such as white and not just the team colors) for position players.
                5. Create a team/team vault
                6. Create a stadium/stadium vault? Possibly a basic creation such as the one in MVP 2005.
                7. Uniform selection for both the CPU team at team selection as well as user controlled team.
                8. Different umpires than the same crew every time.
                9. Ability to change the batting stances/pitching styles of the online roster even if it's only where only you see those specific changes if you make them? (Such as Knight's rosters without changing the abilities)
                edit:
                10. Select both "windup" and "stretch" motions for pitchers
                11. Ability to search for players when making trades in season and franchise modes.

Re: What are u looking for in MLB the show 12 ?

Just got a PS3 back in March, so this is my first The Show experience. Got to say I absolutely love the game - not one better on the market in my opinion (all I play are sports titles). Wish I would have switched from the 360 sooner.

Having said that (and I didn't read however many pages are on this thread) there are a couple of things I'd like addressed. First, I'm sure someone already said this but the commentary gets a bit stale. I guess that will happen after you play 150+ games, but maybe more could be added? Secondly, I do feel there is a "comeback logic" written somewhere in this game that we could do without. I think the most wins I had by a starter in my season was 12 (with no other starters with double digit wins) on a team that went 83-79. I had way too many games get blown by the bullpen and/or go extra innings. Didn't seem right.

Nope i would always check. This is a documented problem.

I thought of one more thing.

Please please give me soemthing to do with the millions of dollars i start gathering after 2 seasons and have upgraded everything (seats, vendors). Its kinda a joke when i got 500million just sitting there and all i can do is keep my field in tip top shape.

                      COACH EDITOR
The ability to add/modify coaches in the game. I'm getting older and would like to have me manage my team. Love to see how the roster creators can make me a Sparky Anderson, Gil Hodges, Leo Durocher ...etc......likeness.

                      A VALID 7-TH INNING STRETCH
Enough of the 5-sec ending. I want a valid 7th-Inning stretch! Give me something where I can get up and grab some beverages. Leave an option for those who want/not want.

                      RAIN OUTS/ DOUBLE HEADERS
Just part of the game. Adds to the strategy.

For everything else, just surprise me.

I second this. And also edit the other base coaches, assistants, front office. Ultimate realism.

As long as they're manual, I second this.

                          1. Catcher Mode- You call the pitches and the location. All you control is the catcher.

                          2. Better batting animations. I hate seeing a guy smash a home run, then sprint to 1st like it's a ground ball!!

                          3. Online Franchise

                          4. Retired jerseys, World Series Patches, July 4th Hats, Mcovey Cove Splash count updates, Created Draft Classes

                          5. Player Home Trots and animations

                          6. Legends, everyone is doing it and I think down the road you will be able to play as every team, which would be awesome. (Starting a Franchise in 1950's all the way to current year. Kind of like OOTP but playable, sounds crazy, but this is where sports games are heading IMO.

I would like to see home and away accessories (ability to mix and match colors of batting gloves and cleats for home and away games).

Commentary and presentation have been mentioned, but I would specifically like to hear commentary during pitching warmups, and better music. (the stadium organ is fine and all buttt......)

Also manual ability to appeal swings with the umps.

And I would still love to see batting gloves under the fielding gloves. (very rarely see naked hands under gloves nowadays)

i think a new dynamic to add to the catcher pitch calling would be to implement a new rating for catchers such as "game calling ability(pitch calling)that ties in to the catchers ratings...there are offensively strong catchers that just cant call a game like others...its a big part of the game that should be implemented...right now the catchers in the game dont have a specific rating for this....across the board theres no difference between them when calling a game..the bottom line is im sure it can be done and it would have a impact on games...rookie catchers and veteran catchers should not be calling the same game with the same sucess either...

How about an option where you play as the catcher instead of the pitcher. (not RTTS)

When your team is batting, you bat. When your team is on defense, you play as catcher and call the pitches instead of playing as the pitcher.
