Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
atta boy and thank you! I'm secretly hoping he retires and SCEA has special coding that just makes him retire regardless at the end of his contract because he's not playing for anyone else. :PLast edited by jkra0512; 01-23-2012, 09:55 PM.Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
Wait did I hear this right ???
Prepare for a rant....
We still can't just set our rosters ONCE outside of a Franchise for Exhibition games and then be able to skip spring training entirely WITHOUT having to send down 450 players or redoing ALL the teams rosters again on day 1 of the real season just to make them stick !!!
Then you say that we could just set them on day one which means that we still have to control all 30 clubs which also means that we have to set a bunch of options to manual, turn off trades and be forced to SIM all the other teams games before playing our own to even get all the bells and whistles like in-game score updates and then on top of all of that still have to set our rosters TWICE since the rosters we set outside of our season won't work unless we send down 450 guys and call them back up
I thought there goal was to make things easier and more user friendly this year for starting a franchise or season ??
Seriously I just want to control "1 team" and start a Franchise and have the rosters & line-ups that I set stick at least just from day 1 of the season !!!
This is so absurd that we will once again have to follow a damn "how to" guide just to get the rosters that we spend hours on to stick
It didn't use to be this way!!!! I can't even do simple season test sims anymore to see how all the teams will do with the roster changes that they really make throughout the real season because I have to spend an extra hour sending guys down just to get accurate realism
Also I didn't hear anything mentioned about the new and improved line-up logic and how it helps anything ???
Seriously someone talk me off the ledge because I'm PO'edComment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
I love these community threads and think this is one way SCEA does it right including the Show fans feedback into the product. My question is, why do they wait until just before the 'final build' to have the community event/feedback? It seems to me they would be more able to incorporate more 'community suggestions' if they were presented earlier in the programming process.......In many ways, it seems the earlier the better. As it is, it seems 'too late for this year, probably next year' is a common answer. I ask this with total respect and appreciation for the SCEA staff.Comment

Any earlier and the game wouldn't be stable enough for the guys to do what they did during the trip. Any later and it would be too late because the game is code locked a little while after they leave in January.Comment

I have noticed something the last two times out.
MUCH less crashes with the builds. Much more stable.

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
Knight, I guess you never had the time to check out if draft prospects received random stances, pitching motions, appropriate equipment, and fixed players coming in with wrinkled faces and dreads? I also remember last year that every so often randomization did not occur and you were stuck with every player having gen 1 stance/motion and no random equipment.Comment

If they rid the wrinkled face and dreads from EVERY generated face(players and coaches alike)...I wouldn't miss it one bit.

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
I'll make this quick.
I haven't posted in close to a year. I never got last year's game because of the roster management issues that lingered from 10' to 11'. It boggled my mind that games could actually be released with a major issue like this.
So from the posts by Knight, it appears the issues has been addressed and fixed....hopefully. But there's still lots of talk about how franchise wasn't addressed much this year and could make major changes in 12'.
What type of major over hauls could there be for 13'? If these bugs were fixed this would be the greatest game ever! I was so frustrated last year to not have a baseball game to play. Hoping that this year will be a different story...Comment
