Pineda also won the Cy Young (stats in Picture thread), so that went from 5 to 6.Last edited by NYYanks26; 03-04-2012, 03:22 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Well this year the system has a much better handle on regression. Players dont perform at peak levels anymore when they get older. Now you will see those former all stars hanging on hitting .240 with 20 hrs.
Edit: I do want logic though put back in to not retire while under contract. Players don't walk away from money. With the new system with regression its nice having to bench the aging vet with a big contract. Only exception should be early retirement due to injury.Comment

Can the infielders (mostly third baseman) still make unrealistic plays. Numerous occasions third baseman throwing men out like 15 feet in foul ground.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I took that shot after the 2012 season. I wasn't 100% sure about the # of division titles the Yankees have won but a quick look on wikipedia says 17, the game has 18. I guess they are counting the strike shortened 1994 season (70-43). Yankees won the division in the 2012 sim, so that's where 19 came from. It did update. Once I sim another season, I'll update if it changed again. But based on that, it looks like it probably will.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
that's good news. If the players regress naturally and then retire, I think that might actually be what I wanted in the system. But you're right that players under contract shouldn't retire. In fact I'd prefer if some players had contracts initially in the roster that they have in real life. Does Pujols have a ten year deal in the game? If he does and the logic for no retirement under contract is in, that would probably solve a lot of my issues.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
That's pretty awesome, now if only the logic gets put back in for no retirement under contract. Are other players with long deals also under contract in the game too? Fielder, A. Gonzalez, Tulo, Arod, etc. I wonder if they are allowed to have all the correct contract lengths, just not the exact money figures.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I'm really hoping that MLB '12 will fix all those niggly issues like trades and free agency. I tried dong a franchise last year, but the joy was sucked out of it having to spend half my play time readjusting everything. Does anyone have any ideas if this has happened?Super XV: Crusaders
ITM Cup: Canterbury
MLB: New York Mets
Bundesliga: FC Schalke 04Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Yes, but Tabarnes indicated that there was logic in a build of the game that made it so players under contract wouldn't retire. Players dont do that, maybe except Gil Meche. Even if Pujols ends up being a .250 15 HR DH when he is 40, he would still play and get paid 25MM. What I'm saying is that I want that logic back in the game, or at least know why they took it out.Comment

Did you happen to time how long it takes to boot up a game and did you do the 5 or 10 GB install?Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Are there still animation stutters like there were in 11? Hated using meter pitching and having the meter fill up, pause a second, then the timing would be off. It also made batting tougher. The ball would disappear and then its over the plate, and you were always late.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Do your custom sliders automatically load every time you boot up the game?
Are the user profiles(your W-L, batting and pitching stats etc) still gone?(they were not there at CES) They were in 10 and gone for 11.
In franchise, are there more than just 8 promotions? I wish I had more items to offer the fans.
Can you add the items quicker? For example, if I want to schedule a promotion of 40,000 bats, I have hold down the d-pad to the right until I max out at 40,000. I'm hoping there is a quicker way now.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
SETTINGS and SAVE Question:
in MLB 12 :
1. do you still have to load the individual settings when you play SEASON or RTTS ( last year you had a complicated proceeder where you had to save different things ) every time you begin to play.
2. when you make a online roster update and you save it , lets say as "save march 10" , is then this your actual roster ( CURRENT ROSTER) every time you begin to play:so when you play the next day you don't have to load this roster or do you have to load (this SAVE ) every time you begin to play.
Was a bit confused with the conception DEFAULT / CURRENT etcComment
