If you are playing all of your games how much does Clutch, Discipline, and Vision really matter?

They are actually very noticeable once you start increasing them, vision especially. You will notice that you get a lot more solid hits and can check swing easier and during high pressure moments you will tend to make contact rather than miss on 50/50 balls.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I don't know how, but my team (Cleveland Indians) are a force to be dealt with. When i look at the roster, lineup, and pitching rotation i see an average ball club when comparing to everyone else.
Currenly we are 91-45 in my 2nd year in the bigs. My rookie season we won the wildcard and took the World Series title. I can't explain how this is happening.
I almost wish we didn't win the title already because i fear i will lose interest in the game down the road.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Hey guys, I have a quick question. I just finished my first season in the MLB with the Twins. I finished the season winning the Gold Glove Award for RF. I checked my locker room then went to awards and achievements, and it didn't say that I won my Gold Glove. Does it not list those awards? I could of sworn that they showed it in 11. I could be wrong. Yes, I am positive I won the award, the manager send me a message saying congrats.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I just started mine today with the OSFM Spring Training Rosters. Last year I was drafted by the Boston Red Sox, so I guess it's appropriate that this year I get drafted by the Yankees to start my RTTS.
Even though I did have a hell of a RTTS last year with my right fielder, ending up in Baltimore, I do miss the challenge in having to basically survive with low ratings in AA. So far I'm batting around .260 with only 4 RBIs, one stolen base, and three strikeouts to zero walks in nine games I think.
Perhaps I'll create a thread down in the dynasty forum, but I'm not sure yet.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Got called back up by Boston after just a few starts at AAA so I was kind of disappointed. This time around, though, I'm actually getting the job done at the major league level. Getting lots of strikeouts and keeping the scoring down. Damn near met my goals for a change; I was supposed to give up just 3 hits and 5 series and I gave up 5 and actually met the 1 earned run goal. Also have been giving me more 1+ inning outings which is what led to me becoming a starter in AAA a year ago, so I'm hoping it won't be much longer. The rotation is too good in Boston is part of the problem. Bard is really the only one I can hope to see kicked out and I still have some ground to make up.Comment

I started a new RTTS today with the OSFM Spring Rosters. I created a speed/contact CF and was drafted by the Cubs.
I'm currently batting .241 with 2 RBI's after 7 games in AA ball.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Made a closer and put him on the Yankees. I originally had the difficulty at Veteran but moved it to all-star about two months in. Had around 31 saves with a 1.50 E.R.A. or so, but got traded to the Pirates, where he is now in Triple-A as a set-up man.Comment

With the OSFM rosters, starting in AA ball is too hard for me... I'm seeing every clubs superstar young pitchers. Every game I'm seeing 98 MPH fastballs with 70 MPH change up pitches on each guys repertoire...SHM
I'm batting 240 with a power 1st baseman in for the Yankee franchise.Madden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

In the middle of my second year with me personal SS in the buccos organization. Got called up to AAA at the end of my first season and struggled a bit, i believe i batted below .200 but only in about 30 AB's.
Started second AAA season on bench however worked my way into starting SS role and now am batting .280 with 1 HR and 17rbi. I believe im in may.My Newport Falcons Football Dynasty (Teambuilder) (CFB25)

In my rookie year as a Starting Pitcher in the Marlins AA affiliate the Jacksonville Suns I've just been called up to New Orleans and I'm now in the bullpen, it's June I think of my rookie year.. In AA once I started starting games I Started 6 games, gave up 2 runs in the first then only 1 run in each of next 3 games.. The last to starts were complete game shutouts.. I have 3 pitches, 4 seam fastball, Change-up, and a Slider...Favorite Teams:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I think it's funny that people can't make it to the big leagues early. I didn't even hit over the Mendoza line in Double A and I was still in the Big Leagues in my first season. I didn't hit over the Mendoza line in year 2 in AAA and still become a full time Major League player by the All-Star break and haven't been sent down yet. I was batting near .100 as a pro and still was a starter.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
So I finished up my 2nd season in Boston and I was finally getting the job done from the bullpen. Lucky for me, in the off-season, I was traded from Boston to St. Louis and they have me at #3 in their rotation instead of trying to fight past Lackey, Bard, and others in Boston.
I added a sinker in spring to match all of Randy Johnson's pitches. After adding it, it has gotten even easier to strikeout guys. I think I had a good 6 or 7 in 4 innings against Detroit in my last start. Now need to build up the stamina some more and work on that sinker. I'm done with the velocity on the splitter as it is about 84-88. Don't think I want it getting much higher than that as it was the Big Unit's off-speed pitch. Slider needs a few more mph to get into the low 90's. I want the sinker in the low 90's and even though the fastball is at a 99 velocity rating, it is only hitting about 94-98. I'll add more to control and movement and see if I can't get that to 100.
I think with one more year, I'll have Randy Johnson to prime-level and can start going for all-star games and Cy Young's in 2015.Comment
