    Apparently, there was an article in the NY Daily News about my RTTS I made which was of NY Sports Talk Host Mike Francesa;

    Hilarious.

Read the post 2 posts above yours. You're not eligible for free agency until you have 6 years of MLB service. Keep asking for a trade and hopefully they give in.

I'm in year two of my RTTS (starting pitcher for Orioles organization) and I've got to be close to getting to the majors now. I do really well every three weeks; I want that call up!

Is there a minimum amount of $$$ you have to be paid? I got offered a 1 year 450k contract by the Reds and since they're my team I tried to get 3 years and for less money than they offered, but they countered me with 2 years 980k. I ended up taking that offer, but it seems weird.

I think the minimum for an MLB player is around 450k.

Currently, my main guy is 33, and I think he's become too good. Before, he was sort of like Mark Ellis, 15-20 home runs, average varying between bad (.240) and good (.300) and then the last few years, I've hit 35-40 HR.

That's what I thought after they made the counter offer, but doesn't hurt to ask. Now knowing that, you would think that maybe they wouldn't allow us to make it less than the minimum.

Actually that is your hitting. Sounds like you either get under it for a weak flyball, which anyone will catch. If you really are lining it every time, they aren't always going to catch it, especially in the minors. Lots of misplayed balls and errors in AA and AAA. Get to the cages and work on your timing. Once you can place the ball in the field where you want, it'll be less of an issue.

At the same time, batting .250 isn't that bad. If you were below the Mendoza line, now you'd have something.

The manager logic in this mode drives me crazy sometimes. My 19 yr old 3rd baseman made the Nationals big squad after a really good spring hitting over .400 in my 15 or so spring pinch hits....fine by me. I have low ratings, but no big deal. I hit .350 ish in my 25 or so at bats for the first month and a half and even managed to meet 2 goal periods...so of course the manager puts me in as the regular 3rd baseman now, which puts Zimmerman on the bench...UGH! I asked repeatedly to change positions and was denied. I am a 48 rated fielder, just put me in LF or 1B to hide me, but no I give us the best defense at 3rd according to my manager!! I have never, EVAR, been able to change positions successfully, why even bother having that interaction available if it never works. Anyone ever get that to work? I wonder what the magic formula is to get that option to work.

Yeah I've been playing RTTS since it was introduced to the Show and that interaction has never worked for me nor have I heard of it working for anyone else.

Manager logic needs a overhaul for this mode. One of the few gripes I have about it.

I have never gotten it to work either, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that the interactions were improved upon and were supposed to actually work this year. I wonder what the magic formula is that will allow it to work. I would think it is some combination of depth at the position I want to play plus depth at where I am leaving and my fielding rating...but I wonder what it takes, because benching an allstar A overall player should be a last resort for the manager. Our team is .500 so you would think they would bench someone less valuable.

I want to make a power righty, like 6'10" 270.

Any suggested pitches? I plan on having 5 when it's all said and done.

                            I'm thinking...

                            4 seam
                            Cutter
                            Circle change up
                            Sinker
                            A curve

                            Maybe use a slider instead?

I'd do a slider instead of the curve, maybe even a slurve if you want it to be a slower pitch. That seems like a nice setup for a power pitcher with movement.
Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.

Struggling so far in my second year with the Cubs. I made the big league squad as a backup CF. So far after 8 games in I'm batting .100 with 1 RBI and too many strikeouts. I haven't had too many batting opportunities thus far but not the start I was hoping to have.

At least the team is doing well, 5-3 in the early season.

In 2012 the Rangers finally won the World Series defeating Colorado in 6 games. As a September call-up I batted around .250 I think with 3 RBI's.
