Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

I've tried to find an answer to this, but haven't had any luck. If I've overlooked an obvious post, I'm sorry.

Can you watch ALL games in Road to the Show this year? Namely, if I make a starting pitcher, can I choose to watch playoff and world series games that I'm not playing in? If I make a position player and he's not in the starting lineup for game seven of the world series, can I watch the whole game irregardless of whether or not I get an at-bat?

I absolutely hate that you couldn't do this in past years. It murders the immersion for me and I won't buy the game if it's the same as it has been in the past.

    Thank you!

I don't think you can do this. I'm pretty sure it's the same as previous years when you can "sim to your next appearance" and if you are not pitching or in the starting lineup it will sim that game(s), unless you pinch hit or something.

Just had my best career game: 3-4, 3 HR, 6 RBI

        I'm 142 games into year #3:

        .276 average | 29 HR | 91 RBI | 9 SB | 19 2B

        #5 in HR
        #3 in RBI

My Reds are #1 in the NL Central at 79-53 (9.5 gm lead)

Any other SP players getting pulled very early? As soon as mid June hit now if I let one hit go after the 6th I get pulled.

My GOD, I line out so friggin' much. It's my most common way to get out. I'd much rather deep outfield pop flies. At least then I don't get temporarily excited when I hear that sweet crack of the ball off the bat...only to watch a player not move one foot left or right and I'm out.

Especially brutal when I come in as a pinch hitter just getting to the majors.

I haven't noticed it as much this year as in previous years. What level are you pitching at? AA? MLB? The score and your stamina also play a factor. You may be pitching great, but if you put the tying run on base, the manager usually pulls you.
Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.

I've created a guy to steal bases. Yet I am never asked to steal. I had 44 in AA ball, now anytime I steal, even if safe, I get benched. Am I just out of luck?

Happens to me far too often. I'll hit the ball with perfect timing in the wheelhouse and directly to either the pitcher, 2b, or ss. I also hate the ones that get lined to shallow outfield and still caught by the outfielders.

All-Star designation. The help panel (pulled up using the Select button) has explanations for all the different symbols you'll see after a guy's name.

Weird. I steal all the time in AAA and MLB and have never been benched. Have you been thrown out a lot?

I've noticed getting thrown out twice in a game triggers the "no more green light" despite having good baserunning ratings. Also, getting caught a lot in a short span of time will trigger that as well.

Having pitched around 20 games in my RTTS, it's becoming glaringly obvious that infielders will miss a grounder to their right almost every time all with the same animation. Fielding rating doesn't seem to matter in this case. Other than that, being in my 4th year now in the majors and I've started to really make my numbers look good.

Questionable calls during my SP Rtts.

Umps miss hr call even after reviewing the play.

This happens all the time the first baseman never throws the ball on time. WHY!!!

Why my pitcher got penalized for an error by second baseman??

                              Yankees!!
