Still not entirely sure on what I should be focussing on to be honest. Do I spend by points (very hard earned right now!) on pushing up the K's, BB's, and HR stats? Or do I focus on my individual pitches?

Other thing is, at the start I chose a 2FSB, a knuckleball, and the curveball. The curve is the least developed, but the training is as hard as anything, because they focus on the knuckler. It's so unpredictable that I can't actually aim anywhere in particular with it! So I feel like I'm lagging behind in training. Any ideas or tips?

Need big points sooner rather than later. I ace Triple AAA ball, Majors is a mixed bag really.
your /9 attributes are the most important as a pitcher but you still need to up your pitches. don't forget to do your advancement goals they won't hesitate to send you down if you keep failing them. i find that with pulse pitching the training is a waste of time, it's an even bigger waste of time if you have a knuckle ball lol.

My god the White Sox suck. In my first year in the bigs (2014) I'm 2-4 in 12 starts with a 2.92ERA and 31 total runs in run support or about 2 runs per game and two of those games they scored 10 each. You take away those two games and I have a whopping 1 run per game of run support. This makes my RTTS pitcher a chore to get though. I hope my high salary gets me traded.

        Yeah, cheers for that.

Put a load into the pitches and it seems strikes are coming easier actually - which then leads to more SO. Maybe that's the way forward.

after 7 long years, kenny powers finally got into the playoffs with the yankees. he closed out game 5 of the ALDS against the tigers, game 7 of the ALCS against the red sox, and closed game 2, 4 and 7 of the world series. signed with the marlins in the offseason (2 years $25m), i was getting bored of playing in the AL.

Do errors and fielder choices count as an at bat(and a 0 in the at bat column?)

Lets say I come to the plate 5 times. I get 1 out, 3 hits and reach 1 more time on a fielders choice(or error), will my numbers for the game be 3 for 5, 3 for 4, or 4 for 5?

Asking this cause I reached on fielders choice or errors a number of times and all times it counted as an at bat, but basically counted as an out.

Errors and fielder's choices count like outs in your statistics, yes.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

So I just finished the month of May with my RF. I was emailed about they were ready to bring me up to AAA, but they do not have enough room. My team (NW Arkansas Naturals) are 31-20, currently tied with the Tulsa Drillers for 1st in the TL North.

I am currently 2nd in the All-Star Race. My stats are...

                GP: 39
                AB: 151
                Avg: .325
                Hits: 49 (10 2B, 0 3B)
                Runs: 16
                HR: 3
                RBI: 25
                SO: 26
                OBP: .333
                OPS: .784

I have fulfilled all of the goals I have been assigned so far (2 sets).

I am currently the MLB Closer for the Rays. They just made a blockbuster trade sending Evan Longoria and David Price to the Angels for Albert Pujols and Chris Ianneta. It's mid-June and because we haven't done well I have 11 saves in 13 chances. We are on a roll right now though having won 6 in a row. My ERA is 1.66

At the All-Star break of my second season in the majors after two years in the minors. The Rays are coming off their first sweep in a month and a half but are somehow are over .500 and are in the wild card race. I was selected as an All-Star with 20 saves a 1.29 ERA and 20 K. We also traded for David Freese last season, who's talent has increased. We didn't make the playoffs last season coming up short after storming back into contention for the wild card after being 10.5 games back. A 12 game win streak lead this comeback.

I'm a closer currently with the St. Louis Cardinals but I've had a crazy career.

I was drafted by the Rangers and absolutely dominated AA in Texas, before getting called up to AAA in my first year. It wasn't long before the Rangers traded me to the Mets.

I spent the next year and a half or so with the Mets. I was actually called up 3 different times to the big league Mets in my 2nd year of professional ball. The 3rd time around however I stuck, and showed great potential.

I guess the Mets noticed because they offered me a deal as the MLB Closer going into my 3rd year. (only 20 years old). I was the closer of the Mets all year and did pretty well. However we were in first place, and then out of nowhere I was dealt to the St. Louis Cardinals with one of our prospects for Jason Motte at the trade deadline.

I kept my closing role and actually finished the year with 57 saves for my Cardinals. I picked up a HUGE save in the 1 game playoff with the Reds to decide the division.

We wound up advancing all the way to the World Series. I was dominant throughout the playoffs until game 5 of the WS with my team down 3-1 in the series I blew the save in the 9th, and we went on to lose in extras and lost the World Series.

It was tough but great experience for my closer. I resigned for 3 years with the Cardinals and hopefully we can build on our success.

The WS was tough. Literally made me feel bad for an hour or two after. But it'll be alright. Hopefully I just continue to get better, and we can make it back!

Is there any way to change the camera for baserunning on RTTS?

I was trying to run, but camera kept changing views. So if I had the controller on up ,the camera would change so that down would be the direction to advance, so then when I moved the stick down, the camera changed and up was suddenly the advance direction again. So my guy kept going back and forth!
