Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
2015 season I'm 3 starts into the year
3-0 1.75 ERA.. I had 4 pitches for a while (4FB, Changeup, Slider, and the Cutter).. I had a lot of points from my win vs NYM so I decided to add a new pitch.. I added the knuckleball.. And I swear I love it so far! Even I dont know where it's going.. Plus it let's me use my slider more ironically.. In the game after I added my knuckleball, I went against Colorado and went 7.2 IP, 6K, 4H, 0ER on 98 pitchesFavorite Teams:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Kenny Powers is taking his talents to the bay. he signed a 1 year $14m contract with the giants. They were offering 6 years for $82m but i didn't wanna be locked into a contract for that long. He started with the Royals for 5 years, then the yankees, then the marlins.. wanted to try a new division since I hardly ever play with/against the west divisions.Cardinals

In order of importance, I'd say contact/power come first, then vision, then whatever else. Contact and power need no explanation, vision helps with strikeouts plus it helps you get a ton more solid hits.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
How long until my hot/cold zone changes?
It's almost the all star break(which would make my guy have a complete season since I got called up halfway through the previous one), and my guys hitting over .300, yet my hot/cold zone has 7 squares cold and only 2 hot.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
it depends on your average in that zone. so it won't change until you improve hitting in that zoneCardinals

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I started my RTTS playing 2B. I was drafted by the red sox and in july i was traded to the Marlins while hitting .263. Then 2 games into my marlin debut i broke my wrist and was out for 3 months or the rest of the season. Then i signed a contract to play in AAA for the Marlins. Then in July 1 week after i played in the All-Star game I was traded omce again this time to the Oakland A's. I hit .324 for the year and signed a contract to start in the majors for the A's over Jemile Weeks who is rated way higher than me. I was injured a month after i made my debut again for 3 months. I came back and played 6 games and guess what injured agqin. 1-3 days only. I came back and was producing for my last place A's with a .310 batting average. On July 30 i dove for a hard grounder and came up with it and tossed it to first for the out. Then my guy goes to his knees and I'm out for another 3 months. Im now in July after the all-star break where i was invited to the home run contest but couldn't get past the first round and also i was invited to the all-star game. I'm injury free for the first time since my AAA season and i'm despretly seeking a way out of oakland as we are 12 games back. I'm having my hot and cold streaks as i will get my average up to .299 but then will drop all the way to .285. I'm trying to be the 5th player to enter the 40 Hr and 40 steal club as i have 26 HRs and 29 Steals. I struggle to get walks as i have 82 strikeouts to 6 BB in 300+ at bats. My manager is starting every game pretty much this year as i'm in 2nd place for at-bats in my league.Iowa HawkeyesDenver BroncosMinnesota TwinsComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
By the way...what' some good advice when trying to improve a starting pitcher in RTTS.
I created one who is a SP for the Chattanooga Lookouts (Dodgers AA), and through 2 starts I'm 0-0 with a 2.13 ERA. I get zero run support, and throw about an 89 mph Running fastball with a 63 mph SCV, and a 71 MPH changeup.
My results are good, but my overall bar sucks, and I'd like to improve my pitches. What attributes should I focus on first?
Thanks!Student at the University of Kentucky...GO BIG BLUE
