Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Just finished my 2015 season with the Marlins, won the World Series again but I wasn't happy that I didn't get to pitch game 7.. Being the ace and since I pitched the close out games vs the Dodgers and Reds I figured I would vs Ty Rangers, I mean I pitched our elimination game in game 5 @ Texas down 3-1.. But anyways went 5-1 in post season, only loss being game 2 of WS..
Went 27-0 in regular season, 255.1 Innings pitched with 255 Strikeouts/ 8 Walks and a 1.11 ERA.. Hitting wise for my pitcher in regular season.. .227 AVG/ 4 HR/ 12 RBI.. in post season.. .107 AVG/ 2 HR/ 3 RBI..
I Have 5 pitches but really my 4SFB and Change were primary.. My fastball Clocked in at 101 a couple times.. My cutter reaches 98 and slider at 94 with change at 89Student at the University of Kentucky...GO BIG BLUE

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm seriously just gonna give up on RTTS, things are getting annoying.
I can never hit anything EXCEPT a double play if someones on first with 0-1 outs(even if someones on 2nd and/or 3rd, it'll still be double play). I've hit with swing influence in all diff directions and exact same result. I'm leading MLB in GIDP despite having 100 less at bats than normal person(cause I sit out 1-2 games a week despite being the best player on the team!!!) and 2nd closest is almost half of what I have.
I'm only halfway through the season, and I'm already at 20GIDP. Last year in real life, it took a whole season for some people to even get 20GIDP, the MLB lead wasn't even 30, I'm projected for prob 50 or something if I actually played a full season.
My guess pitch is up in the zone with fastballs, I get those pitches, with swing influence up, then when I swing, the ball goes right to the SS or 2B for the easiest double plays you'll ever see(it's like fielding practice when I come to the plate with runner on 1B)Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Well I do the goals given then I spent all the other points on my pitches.. I get usually to the 7th to 9th innings and in 2015 it's like something clicked and I started throwing shutouts and 1 run games which gave me like 800-900 points per.. So it didn't take long to max out my Change, Slider and cutter.. My 4SFB is max on velocity and control but the movement is around 61.. And hitting wise I only work on power which is around 50 now..Favorite Teams:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
If you're doing the same thing over and over and getting the same result, you have nobody to blame but yourself if you haven't tried anything different. If I were as frustrated as you, I would try every pitch location, every swing influence, every timing, and every swing strength before I blamed my shortcomings on someone else's video game coding abilities.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
So in third start of 2016 vs Philly I give up my first 2 runs to who? Upton? No.. Ellsbury? No.. If you guessed Roy Halliday you're correct.. The bs that that is when he can hit everything no matter where I threw it and no one else on the team can barely touch it.. Still won 6-2 thanks to my 3 run shotFavorite Teams:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
25 games away from matching Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hit streak..
Took a 24 game hit streak into my sophomore MLB season and have continued the hitting. Up to 31 games now.
At this point it's going to be agonizing if I dont get the record. I don't want to cheat but I know if I reach my final at bat in a game, I will be tempted to restart the game, just to see what happens if I break the record. I don't think I'll do that, I'd rather do it legit. I'll keep updating as this progresses hopefully..Comment
